  • After learning that the ARBOC buses used for the LAXit Shuttles were pulled from service due to electrical fires, me and a few friends decided to venture out and see what would be replacing them in the mean time. It turns out LA Charter and Transit Systems would be lending some of their buses for the LAXit shuttles, which turned LAX into a Bus Fan’s Paradise with several old buses running around the terminals

This is like LaGuardia airport in NYC from 2017 to 2020, except on an even grander scale! I'm always mind-blown at the insane variety of unique and rare buses in SoCal.
In late 2016-early 2017, the Port Authority of NY&NJ purchased a large variety of used buses to quickly expand the number of shuttle buses serving LaGuardia Airport. During this time, shuttles serving LGA included Orion VII OGs in 35ft hybrid, 40ft hybrid and 40ft diesel form (original to PANYNJ), New Flyer D40LF (ex-San Diego MTS and Crystal Transit, including one demo built to Houston Metro specs), New Flyer D35LF (ex-MVTA), and Gillig LF (ex-DART First State).
