    This was so fun connecting with you more and creating these videos together! I really am always impressed with your creative projects and like i said, totally jealous it's warm enough for you to wear shorts and tank tops, lol! We just power washed our front porch last night and now I'm itching to redecorate it. Thanks for the ideas and thanks for the great collab!

      @GlueGunsRoses  Před 4 lety +7

      Thank you again for collaborating with me! I just finished your video and the way you painted to give a faux wood look blows my mind. I never EVER would have thought to use yellow as a base. I remember you did your door in a similar way last year but I don't remember if you used yellow as a base?
      So much love to you my sweet friend ❤❤❤

    • @TheDailyDIYer
      @TheDailyDIYer Před 4 lety +7

      @@GlueGunsRoses It's such a cool technique! I used a peach paint for the base for the front door. I love both looks, the peach is just more subtle and the real wood grain look comes from the paint brush strokes with the front door. The yellow is a little more forgiving. Hope you get a chance to try them out! I know you'd make something amazing with it!

    I am so glad to see you using lattice stripping! I don’t know who came up with the idea of using paint stirring sticks for everything. Meghan, you’re the real deal. Using a square and actually knowing what to call it. These ladders are awesome! Now, those salt and pepper shakers...those are some Texas size barbecue salt and pepper shakers. I still have some family in TX. I may just gift my nieces with a set of those! Thanks for the great projects, super instructions and awesome use of materials. I hope you have a great weekend and can be throwing a big ole barbecue SOON! 😊👍🏻🦋

    You had me at cheap! I actually made one of these today. I was on my patio and the wood glue was drying so fast I couldn't adjust them at all. It was 102 but I just like working outside .
    I am putting great grandma's quilts on it but now I think I need one for outside also.🏜

    I love the ladder. I only have a Lowe’s near my home. They have a 36 inch long strip which is perfect for my two ideas. A small one for my daughter’s kitchen and a larger one for living room/garden shed. She’s getting married in June and she is registered but she wants something different from mom. I’m also going to make her a wood round tray monogrammed stenciled with a D tray plus handles and a Farmhouse shiplap tray. I might make her a large wood round lazy Susan to go on her kitchen table.

    I completely enjoy your creations & humble approach to making them. I have a tip for your salt shaker, especially if you are going to use it outside. Put a layer of uncooked white rice in it. It absorbs moisture, keeps the salt from clumping & is too big to come out of the holes.

    That slanted ladder....GIRL!! Thank You for showing what didn’t work & what you will do (because I know you will make another one 😉) the next time! It really turned out beautifully, & think of the janky wreath as just a 'loose weave' that you can add seasonal flowers or picks just using floral wire around the wreath or even the stems of the glued eucalyptus! Easy Peasy😂! Hope you are staying healthy & busy! 💜🦋

    I love the ladders! I have been wanting to make one, just haven't had the get up and go to do it.

    The ladder would look really cute at Christmas with ornaments hung on it!
