- This pastor of 45 years just showed his TRUE COLORS and proved that he is a FALSE TEACHER. What you are about to see is shocking and sad at the same time. He is beloved by so many and has written over 100 Books.
What he has said and did over the past number of years proves that he should NOT be a pastor and needs to step down. In the world of christianity it can be hard to know who is a solid biblical teacher and who is a false teacher, but on this episode of Real Talk with Jordan Riley you will see my Christian Reaction to what I found out about someone I used to look up to when I was in Bible College. The truth needs to be told and it will spark debate, but we need to see what God's Word says and what Jesus said about this.

There are many many false teachers. Best recommendation is to read the Bible; read it again; and again and again. Then, pray to the Lord for guidance.
There are many more of them than they are preachers who are really have the love and respect for the GREAT ALMIGHTY GOD. They are shepherds who feed the flocks they do not run when they see the wolf coming to devour the sheep of the LIVING GOD. The false so called pastors only want to make his either laugh sleep and feel good while they(pastors) filling up their pockets and purchasing properties with other folks money
Amen. We have to know the sound doctrine of God’s Word in order to recognize false teachings. If you don’t know the truth of the scriptures, you can’t recognize false doctrine, and sadly the majority of professing Christians have no love for the scriptures. The Word of God MUST BE our foundation.

this saddens me but what saddens me even more is that many Christians rebuke those of us who speak out against these false teachers for daring to do so, even in light of Ephesians 5:11 "Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them." the church today is in a very, very, bad place and we need to pray for our brothers and sisters to wake up!! thanks Jordan for all the work you do! A few years ago I became aware that Max Lucado had gone off the spiritual rails. I had several of his books and knew I had to throw them out. And I had no idea at that time that he was a close buddy of smilin’ Joel.
I figured this out a couple of years ago and was a little sad because I had been reading his books forever.
It sickens me to see Joel get up there and have his “pastor”wife speak along side him. There’s a local church very near my house that I used to go to that does the same thing, except the one here doesn’t endorse his wife as a pastor, but she does speak at times while on stage with him which is a violation in the Bible. What is it about this that’s biblical? Both churches are headed for a fall. And so is Max Lucado for speaking at this church. And now Joel’s church has had an active shooter this past weekend and smiling Joel is trying to not say much about it, just going on his merry way. Sad.
"Just in case you think he hit his head and didn't know where he was..." ....that was really funny. But seriously, I've been a Christian for over 40 years. As I look back on my journey I've been amazed at how many false teachers I dabbled in along the way (at the time didn't think so) the likes of Max Lucado, Joyce Meyer, Rick Warren (bought "The Purpose Driven Life" when it came out and read it). The first church I regularly attended was a charismatic church speaking in gibberish tongues and all. But in relatively short periods of time God providentially moved me forward away from my exposure to them and at the same time leading me to more and more really good church experiences/Biblical teachers. Your ministry is one of many very good YT ministries that address false teachers/teachings. Thank you for what you do to help people know what's false and what's true.
@@gowest5145 Speaking in some kind of utterances that aren't intelligible by anyone around you is not scriptural speaking in tongues.Unless someone can show that the vowels and consonants uttered by the likes of Kenneth Copeland, Joyce Meyer, Sid Roth and many others like them are actually spoken languages that someone somewhere in the world could interpret into English then whatever is being done it's not Biblical tongues.
I threw away my Max Lucado books a few years ago, after he got down on his knees and asked for forgiveness to African Americans & Hispanics for his and his ancestors racism in 2020, because of BLM. Then around a year later apologized for a sermon he preached in 2004 against same sex marriage.

I didn't know much about Max Lucado, just some pretty good quotes now and then. Now I know. This is all stomach- turning.
I remember for a while, being hesitant in buying, handing out and placing Max Lucado tracts. I made the right call(s).
The more I hear about false teachers I pray for them. I read my Bible and yes I do believe that God wants to bless us, he wants us to repent and be more like Jesus. God is the real reason why I'm in perfect health. I've done foolish things, but God has given me wisdom.
I desire to be wise, and keep walking the narrow path and know the truth.
I have shared the word of God with my boyfriend who was an unbeliever and he didn't want to lose me so he accepted Jesus as his Lord and savior. So I believe that God gets all the credit snd glory. God bless you.

1John 2:19 describes this very thing. False teachers are being made manifest so we can identify them. True followers of Jesus Christ will mark, avoid, and warn other believers. Keep doing what you are doing Jordan.

Wow, I have several of his books, and never realized the position that he now takes on these important issues. He has compromised. Part of the reason is because TBN has brought all of these false teachers together in one place for all to be deceived. So disheartening.

I stopped following Max Lucado around 2008. I had read an interview he did, where he praised John Hagee. That was all I needed to hear. Haven't followed him since then.

Max Lucado I believe has always had a tendency to stray, he has never seemed soild to me.. but Alistair Begg compromising that was heartbreaking! That's like finding out John MacArthur or Paul Washer compromised, that would be absolutely devastating!

Another one bites the dust....this is even more proof that you need to absolutely be in His word daily, and testing the spirits constantly. NEVER just trust anyone and believe what they endorse. Especially these Pharisee-like pastors, [all show and no go]. Check everything against the Bible. A study was done where people were asked if they were Christians, and 69% said they were, but when asked further questions, such as "is there more than one way to salvation," "do good people go to heaven," "Having faith is more important than than the faith you choose," and more. The number was whittled down to a minute 6%! The Bible says that the path is narrow; that even the elect will be fooled. Matthew 24:24 That should give EVERY person who claims Christianity, pause. Do you truly believe, or do you only THINK you believe? People who truly want to be the seed that falls on rich soil, [Matthew 13:23] MUST be vigilant and drink in God's word. The more you know His word, the more you know what is NOT His word. Thank you again Jordan, for pointing out another person, [I personally read Lucado's books early on in my Christian walk], who has fallen by the wayside. We are fortunate that you are on constant watch for false teachers!🙏🙏🙏

I do believe there are MANY more false teachers and BAD pastors, famous or not, than those we can trust. And I do believe it's getting worse every day and will continue to get worse until Jesus returns.

Men like Max Lucado, the late Phillip Keller and Ravi Zacharias and John Piper [just to name a few] should serve as sobering warnings that despite writing best selling books; having lived apparently godly lives; and at one time "seemed to be fundamental in their theologies" that no one is immune from going off the rails. These gentlemen just didn't wake up one morning and go WOKE or fall into the ditch of heresy. No, this was always in them. So why now? It is my humble opinion that what we are seeing with these misled men is the fulfillment of 1st Timothy 4:1. Thank you Jordan for this presentation. We who are part of the true last days church must be on our "extra guard" because wolves are entering in and not sparing the flock. Thanks again and keep up the blessed work of warning the flock.

The more I watch your videos and the videos from Fight For Truth, I am all the more content with the decision I made almost two years ago to leave Immanuel Baptist Church in Rome New York. Not just only I left but most recently, many couples and families whom I fellowshipped with who were very well rooted in God's truth as I was. The pastor and his wife were gung-ho for Hillsong music, Max Lucado, Billy Graham, Charles Stanley, and Beth Moore. Praise God that I was obedient to the calling to exit.
I read his first two books well over a decade ago.

@@kathleenking47 well Alistair Begg is not doing the Church any favours with his comments not only on attending a gay "wedding" and worse still his response of not correcting his error and then references to the The Prodigal Son which made no sense. To top it off he called those who said he was wrong, Pharisees. He went even further to warn people that most who criticise things of a sexual nature as likely to be committing those very sins themselves in private.

I’ve always found it quite ridiculous just how many people are under the teaching of pastors like this. It’s genuinely hard to understand. I will say, there’s nothing wrong with loving the pastors and the people as that’s what God calls us to do, in the same way you love your enemy. The problem is when he says “I love everything this church does”. That’s the problem.

I don't get how people still choose to follow these false teachers when presented with biblical evidence. It isn't hard to look for a new biblically sound church or pastor to follow. I know people don't like to admit they were in the wrong out of fear of looking dumb but there's no excuse after the truth is presented to them and they keep following the false teacher. It's like if I get burned from touching fire, I learned not to touch it again. Only a fool would continue to burn themselves and it boggles my mind people WILLINGLY continue to burn themselves.

I see why the Bible says to endure. It appears that many of these individuals end up wavering after walking the walk for so long... End up wandering into dangerous territory. May God keep us and the Holy Spirit guide us until the end of our days so that we never fall away, nor compromise.. Or maybe some of these men fooled us from the beginning.
Agree....I used to follow Robin Bullock and his wife, Robin - they made two no-no's in my understanding....one - Mrs. Bullock is a pastor, two - they endorse none other than KENNETH COPELAND....when I heard Mrs. Robin state that, I said "no more following the bullocks" We need to be watchful - even certain ones who "follow the gospel" are sometimes also following false so-called prophets.

Wow Jordan, that's crazy! I had to put him off a few years ago because he did a sermon where he apologized to the LGBT brigade. They were rationing and attempting to cancel him on social media because he taught how the wicked and how homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God. Apologized to the mob for preaching truth. Same time when that happened I recalled that Pastor Jack Hibbs said: "get his books off of our bookshelves"
GOD IS WORKING in all of this to separate the sheep from the goats, and to show everyone who has eyes to see and ears to hear what these FALSE PREACHERS/ CHARLATANS are really about! I never much cared for Max Lucado, and now I know why!

Max is deluded if he thinks Joel is a pastor he’s not. Praying in tongues is nonsense and God does not talk to you except through his word. This man needs to think about what he’s preaching. So is Joel and others like him

Max Lucado and I went to the same university. I used to really admire him, but somewhere along the way, I got concerned with the “pastors” he started associating with and had to pull the plug on listening or reading anything he produced 🧐
I waited to jump into the comments or read too much before seeing who was going to be discussed here and I’m not surprised at all by Max Lucado. I wrote him off more than a decade ago.

Last year I realized max teachings were definitely not biblical. I had a few of his books ..one was signed by him. Pray for wisdom and God's Truth and He will keep you informed. I gave away his books before I knew how bad he was 😢 but the signed book I kept. Couple months ago I ripped it up and threw it away. Thank you Jordan for your ministry!! God is giving them what they want.
It's judgment. They don't want truth. Max, a couple years ago, apologized for his view That marriage should be between a man and a woman because he was supposed to speak at a college. And they told him they didn't want him there because of that. Then I thought to myself. This guy sells a lot of books and is he going to apologize? In a few days later he did.
We are never to entertain the appearance of evil! If we even associate with these men and women who are contrary to the Word of GOD, we become associates in their evil deeds...
Its been known for decades that Lucado was an ecumenical. He did the Promise Keepers thing back in the 90's and stated his beliefs openly.
People, learn from God( from the Holy Spirit) , and not from false - teachers.

Not buying another Lucado book. Omgosh. Everyone who knows anything should stay away from Lakewood Church.
I belong to a Wesleyan Church and we have Ordained Women Ministers. Here is just a few verses. We also back to our heritage has a rich history going back a 150 years, that affirms the fact that the Holy Spirit anoints and blesses the women. There is many examples of pastors, evangelist and missionaries. The Holy Spirit will be poured out on both women and men Joel 2:28-29. Both men and women were in the upper room on the day of Pentecost. Paul reflected Jesus’ openness to women as co-labourers. 1Cor 11:5 Paul again recognizes women speaking in church as a normal thing. There is so many more that can’t fit on this post.
I have a few questions, 1,I am just now opening my eyes thanks to God for using you to help open my eyes, I have a messed up family My daughter in law says that she is a Christian witch. I spoke to her about Deuteronomy and I what it says about witchcraft, but now that is a problem because My grandson thinks he is a girl and I could go on but I am not spending time with them, so how do I show them Gods forgiving living Got if I don't witness to them it's as if the opposite is true because I don't accept the lifestyle they won't listen.
I have never thought in listening to Mr. Lucado that he was a true Christian. I believe he is lost. I too got rid of his books. I pray the Lord would grant him the gift of repentance.

Sadly, not surprised. I had over a dozen books. His book helped me over 20 years ago and I reestablished my relationship with God because of his book about Jesus being my Savior. But! I had to throw out every bit of it about 3 years ago. He apologized for his racism at a BLM rally. He recanted and apologized for a sermon he preached 20 years ago against homosexuality. And he called The Holy Spirit the mother heart of God. So many reasons for heartbreak here.
