- Tutorial on what to use for a junk journal. I made the cover by Mod-Podging different pictures, then I covered it with a clear laminating sheet to protect it. I used a drill to drill the holes in the cover, then used book rings to hold it together.
oh my goodness, i luv the simplicity and use of recycled items in the journal. Makes it better adding things you enjoy looking at. thanks for sharing.
Love, love, love this junk journel, every thing about it, the concept of monthly dividers and any and everything can be added, every thing about the month, and lot's of room for writing. It's full of everything you'd have on hand with out having to purchase any thing special for it. Well, except for the rings of course, but then if you can't there are other ways to hold it together. Thanks very much for sharing this.
I love all the different types of paper products you used to make your junk journal. TFS
I've watched a lot of videos on Junk Journals. I really love the simplicity of yours. Great job!
Oh and PS, the concept of recording at least one thing that you are thankful for is excellent! We just take too much for granted and there is always something to bring thanksgiving to the heart and soul. I think all people would find so much joy if they keep them selves in a state of awareness as to what they already have, espcially family and other people in our lives. May be suprising that there may be more than 365 things at the end.
What a fabulous project! I have some of those ring thingies and now I feel very inspired to use them!
the paint chip card is a stroke of craft hoarding genius I collect them for my art journals lol
Very cool materials and pages you used in this journal! I do love the ring binder binding and I need to do one, too! Thanks for the inspiration!
Loved this video. I've not made a junk journal like this yet but will certainly do one now. Thanks for the inspiration.
great junk journal--looks like you had fun finding different unique papers to write on--good job!
Thank you so much for sharing your journal with me. I am about to start my first one. I have been seeking inspiration, and you have certainly given me some things to think about! Im glad I saw your video before I start mine! Thanks again! Chauchetta Green
It's really pretty and tidy and most of all, very inspiring. Thanks for the idea! :)
Also thanks for making a video that shows your whole journal that isn't 15 minutes long! :P
Nice sweetie. I've seen those junk journals where they're hardly any space for journaling. Those I would call smash books. Thanks for informing the community. TFS.
Thats very cute and looks pretty easy.. When I finish the one I'm making now maybe I'll try one.
Love this! Thank you for the inspiration.
Very cool! I will be sharing this with a group that I go to. Hopefully we can make them together. Thanks for sharing this! :)

Good point about writing areas. Tx for sharing
I LOVE THIS!!!
Love it! So simple :)
This is so cool!
I love your journal and your video. I just stumbled onto the concept of junk journals recently and I love the concept, but some of the journals I have seen make no sense to me. I don't know how anyone would actually use the things they have made. No place to write, too many pictures, magazine pages??? Yours is very useful and common sense. Thank you for sharing.
Wow this is amazing 🤩🤩
Tfs love it Nae Nae
i love it......so pretty tfs
They're called book rings, and they're hard to find. I found mine at Wal-mart, in the office supply section. But Office Max and Office Depot didn't have them. You could also find them online. Depending how fat your book will be, you'll probably want the 1 1/2 inch size or the 2 inch size. I would prefer to have book rings that are "D" shaped instead of round, but I have hunted all over the internet for them, and I can't find any, so I have to use the round ones. Good Luck!
Loved it . I write on everything . Just use different colors ovf ink .
thank you. now i know what a junk journal is.
I really love this…I have been all over YT looking at everyone's journals. I love them all and all the different styles from art to junk (as in smashing junk) I am obsessed with journals and paper since I was little. But what I have been really wanting to do is a journal completely of reused everyday around the house stuff (like the cereal boxes and granola bar boxes we always seem to have a ton of around here! TFS! :-) PS please tell me what your favorite glue is for mounting the thinner sheets onto the thicker sheets and what did you use to punch holes through the thicker cardboard (the cereal boxes) and the dictionary cover! Thank you! :)
Very nice. TFS! :)
before I saw this video today I tempted to make a book cover like this after making my attempt. my question is how did you make the holes in your book cover? and do you use eyelet?
I just used a hole punch. No, I did not use eyelets.
