    My thoughts for improving the puzzle: round the corners so they slide past each other easier. Some type of varnish to make the sides slicker might also help. create grid-like grooves on the bottom in intervals of the smallest piece (so the small square) and put pieces that go into those grooves in those intervals (so something like a screw or a screw with a washer, where the small square has one on the bottom, the small rectangles have two, the longer ones have three, etc etc etc). This will allow the blocks to move around freely without allowing the player to lift them out and "jump" other pieces. It would take a lot of work and precision, but I think the payoff would be worth it.

    • @MarcosDjivelekian
      @MarcosDjivelekian Před 4 lety +10

      And I would say if you want to charge more than $350 for this, then the grooves are kinda a must.

    • @rhysdutoit1515
      @rhysdutoit1515 Před 4 lety +4

      If the blocks were flush with the border of the puzzle they might move smoother, too, instead of toppling over

      Personally no, because I don't really think about the puzzle. I'm not trying to solve it, I'm just watching him solve it. Most of the time I just kinda zone out and watch him do whatever he's doing. A lot of the puzzles he does are pretty hard to understand unless you have them in your hand anyway so I don't even think about what he should do. Maybe I used to when I first started watching, but that was a good while back so I don't really remember lol.

No satisfaction. No enjoyment. No admiration for the creativity that inspired it. The only thing they cheat is their own experience.

    When you get the ball to the end It opens up and you can see everything and how it works
    The only two things on the outside of the box would be a magnet on a Handle with a little bank pen style chain holding it to the box and a Clearly labeled battery compartment with the explanation that batteries are Necessary so it can be opened if it battery goes dead
    I think it would sell well but I don’t have the money or expertise to make it so if anyone does feel free to use this Concept

    5:41 literally 4 steps away from solving it, and then he just started moving the blocks the wrong way...
    At that point it really messed with my head

    Starting off a puzzle by saying “the pieces come off but don’t take them off, that’s against the rules!” Makes it seem like a children’s toy.
    This guy is creative but needs to be patient and work on his craft to make puzzles that are less cheap and homemade.
    The best puzzles are the ones Chris can slam and spin and throw around. It adds to the frustration.

    Awesome. For both of his puzzles I always feel so worried that it’s gonna be a let down...but each time it’s been an unique finishing move for the prize. Great job!

    Yo this is FREAKING INSANELY creative! Artist. I almost feel the janky-ness of the blocks adds to the contrast of the advanced key/unlocking. It’s almost part of the puzzle because he is building your perspective along a certain path (just a janky wood box) so when it comes to the key, it is harder to switch your thinking to the electronic mechanism.
    Or I’m just tripping out in awe.
    Beautifully made
