About JD Vance claiming he is from Appalachia...he is not. He was born and raised in Middletown Ohio, which is in the flatlands between Cincinnati and Dayton. Middletown isnt even considered "country", as it is part of the Cinci-Dayton metroplex. If he drove for an hour and a half he could reach the western edge of Applachian Ohio, but I doubt he ever has. Why has no one called him out on this bizarre lie?
He never claimed he was from Appalachia. It sounds like you are referencing a MSM attck on him and you took the bait. It's in reference to a book he wrote about his family ties to Appalachia. I can relate as I too have had to overcome the generational traumas of having ties to Appalacia. My grandfather was awarded the Silver Star as a lieutenant in the 101st airborn at only 19 years old. He was the youngest in the group he led and risked his life to save his platoon and recieed shrapnal wounds in his intire backside that plagued him til his death. He returned to Kentucky as a war hero, but soon after the region saw its first collaps in the 50's. Luckily he was able to leave and restart in Colorado in the 60s, but the trauma of fighting for his country and then having to hunt squirrels to feed his family because the US Government failed its people took its toll on his family, including my father. I have since worked through this trauma with my father. The same can not be said about other members of my extended family who to this day have struggled with poverty and addiction. Let's move past who is worse than who, start thinking for ourselves and work together to get our country back on track. I am by no means a Trump or Vance supporter. I am an ex-democrate, now independent because my party has failed me. I have been able to shed my conditioning and removed myself from the MSM propoghanda and learned to think for myself. Anyone who buys into this game is no better than the other side, they have only failed to admit their parties own responsibilities.

NOAA is the modest federal agency that gathers the data that documents climate change, and enables basically all weather forecasting. Another public agency that returns pretty amazing value, that we take for granted. When Trump did his Sharpie revision of the hurricane map, that was NOAA's projection he was messing with.
That is exactly why the MAGA cronies want to defund it, along with NASA. Both agencies have, with great scientific precision, tracked historical data that demonstrates to a very high level of scientific certainty the impact of climate change. If you stop them recording this information it becomes much easier to deny climate change and or to use bogus statistics and rhetoric.

So this leads me to a couple things either you're incapable of using google, you're incapable of reading, you're lying, or you're trying to throw shade on an easily verifiable claim hoping no one would actually check, or a combination of any of those.

For accuracy: He wrote the foreword to another book by the head of this think tank who wrote the foreword to this Project, but the guilt by association is clear.
The video of the guy mentioning having conversations instead of paper trail is exactly what I was wondering about. The things they put online and recorded on video is not what concerns me, it’s what they are actively making sure no one has a record of.
That video starts out with the guy saying something like "imagine, you start your job in Washington. you've never been there and are excited to get started, you get to work. THEN suddenly you're under federal investigation!! here's how you avoid all that...#1 no paper trails! always talk in person and be careful of the careers getting you on tape!"
The funny thing is to see it *recorded.* Because it's definitely SOP in corporate and government. A "reasonable accommodation" one can request for a lot of neurodivergences is auto-transcription or having access to meeting recordings. And while the ADA makes it _legally a requirement_ for employers to allow it, I dare anyone to try to request it. The number of roadblocks and excuses you encounter will tell you everything you need to know.

Him and his campaign have also done many of the things in project 2025 already. Trump will allow the people who wrote project 2025 to do whatever they want as long as it benefits him which I think might be scarier than him knowing about every single thing in it.
