Though we re losing chido martin obi ,arteta needs to learn to integrate academy players , i think we all need to see more of ethan and miles and the rest given some minutes on the first team
You know you can't have it both ways...we are challenging for the title. If we were to play Lewis Skelly and or Nwaneri in a match and lose, then yall would be on Mikel's neck blaming him for playing them. Sure maybe in the cup games those two can get a shot but it isn't as straightforward as it was when we weren't in title races and when 4th position would be a good season.

@@mandayashraf6580 firstly, from what I've seen of Walters I don't think he's ready. So I can understand playing Cedric who is more experienced despite the fact he was going to leave. People forget that Mikel was the one who gave Smith Rowe his big break, he gave Patino his debut, he gave Nwameri his debut, Charles Sagoe Jr too. He also brought back Eddie from his loan at Leeds and actually gave him games, he gave a lot of minutes to Ainsley Maintland Niles, in his first game he actually started Reiss Nelson at RW and also started playing Saka at RW over Pepe, our most expensive signing at the time and his job was literally always on the line at this time, if one of the young players caused as to lose, who knows if Arteta would've stayed manager. The main issue is that our development has been much faster than I think he expected tbh, at the start his job was seemingly always on the line so he had to be cautious and now he is challenging Pep for the League so he has to be very very careful about who he plays. And I think we would've seen more of the youngsters in the cups but we got knocked out early in both. I hope this year we can be more capable of going further in them so that Nwaneri and Lewis Skelly, maybe even Patino if he stays can get some gametime. But I don't think it's on Arteta honestly.

We need players to feed martinelli and trossard with good balls on the left side of the pitch that they can run onto. Merino would deffo help with that as well if we sign him too. Then our attack on both wings will be deadly. Also we need to retain ball possession better on the left and have a leftback that does not make defensive blunders (like zinchenko did last year on numerous occasions leading to goals conceded and most likely points dropped - and we only lost the title by 2 points last year).
We build from the back, lb biggest problem last season, calafiori will give martinell/Trossard better service
