Geoff Being A Dislikeable Character For 17 Minutes [Total Drama]

- Wanna know why I hate Geoff? He basically is the main reason why Bridgette got worse and worse during the series.
Bridgette was really good and really enjoyable... but Geoff... he is such a bad character in my opinion:
-On Island he was alright... he had his moments sometimes (like on the episode he was Gwen’s partner) and his relationship with Bridgette wasn’t that bad yet
-On Action he was SO ANNOYING! First he got eliminated by making out with Bridgette (Which was fair to be honest). And then you’re gonna remove his love for Bridgette (Aka the reason he got eliminated on Action) on the aftermath episodes and make him a jerk? It kinda makes his elimination kinda weird and it makes you feel like he shouldn't have been on this second season in the first place... Out of everyone, seeing Geoff as the “is my hair good? You should lose some weight” just doesn’t feel right for his character...
-On World Tour, he was not that great either, with him and Blaineley being the hosts... I mean it was good seeing Geoff having revenge to Blaineley after seeing what she did to bridgette... but he was still... eh...
-On the Spin Off (RR), he luckly returned to his more chill character, but he was still an "Eh..." character for me.
Anyway back to Bridgette, I feel like after Island, she got worse because of her relationship with Geoff... she was such a great character on Island... and after seeing how they treated her afterwards is kinda disappointing

I agree. He and Brody were my favorite team because they were so optimistic. Even Don missed them when they got eliminated.

In Island, he was the party guy. How did he end up becoming the surfer guy? I just see that as bad writing.

They tried to turn everyone into a villain in TDA: Leshawna, DJ, Owen, Beth, Gwen, Justin, Trent, Geoff, Courtney all got villain edits at some point. Its why its my least favorite season.

My only problem with Geoff in RR was that they made him super dumb. I get they wanted him to be more likeable but making him almost as dumb as Lindsay and Lightning was not a good choice. Geoff wasn't smart but they made him really dumb

I LOVED Geoff and Bridgette’s relationship in season 1. It was great to see how the characters panned out and stuff. Geoff was an ok character, he wasn’t the worst but wasn’t the best either. Bridgette on the other hand was such a GREAT character. I was so excited to watch the two of them progress in season 2 and up but it didn’t happen.
Bridgette was a great character before as she could put her team and friends first. She was a nice person too who was really likeable. Them making out every second really annoyed me, because they wasted such a good character like Bridgette. The writers ruined their characters by adding their relationship. It’s a kind of similar situation with Duncan and Courtney
With Duncan and Courtney the relationship started to become toxic after the votes being rigged against her in season 1 originally I was fine with the ship but I don’t think the way Courtney responded was great she started becoming cocky,moody,etc and Duncan was just there to stir the pot leading the world tours love triangle
I still liked bridgette in the next few seasons

Brukster Thing They added depth to his character in action and world tour and the ingenuity of the writers who managed to keep geoff a prominent character in a season he didn’t compete in and still give him, bridgette and blainely a funny arc but in RR he just became a dumb surfer which was still funny but kinda invalidating all that growth he had

He was so positive and forgiving of gwen, no matter what she did to him he was compassionate and helped break through her shell. I enjoyed seeing someone like him who just wants to have a good time I guess

Besides the surfer bit (which he might have picked up after dating Bridgett ) I felt like TDRR just circled him back to TDI Geoff.
The season was pretty fast pace in the sense we only saw so much of the characters when they weren't racing.
He wasn't really out of character in RR. He went back to being a chill party guy who was nice to other contestants. The surfer bit wasn't necessarily too bad for him, and they barely mentioned it ngl.
I honestly liked him in World Tour. After all he accepted Bridgette's apologies, he pulled out the biggest roast of all time against Blaineley and imo the Aftermaths in WT were more likable than in TDA. In RR, eeh, he was kind of anonymous, idk.
I feel like they only added blainley as a character just so there’s an ‘antagonist’ in the aftermath series to make it more interesting and didn’t wanna ruin Geoff’s character so they added blainley

Theory: The reason Blainley was created was to take the role of "Toxic Celebrity Host" so that Geoffs character didn't derail again for another season, and so he didn't continue to be a jack@ss like this.
kinda glad, cuz tbh it worked. also, unpopular opinion, blainley is more iconic as a villain. some of the forced villain-arcs on characters in TDA were straight up trash.

That's what happened to Geoff, he was one of my favorite charachters on the show, but then T.D.A happened and simply ruined him. I was so mad at this, the same thing happened to Leshawna, she was my favorite on Island, on Action she was cool too, but in World Tour they removed her very early compared to the previous seasons and got ruined too! This shows us that Total Drama simply make charachters "important" to the series good and ruin the others ;-;

Blame the writers not Geoff. They ruined Bridgette and half the cast in later seasons. If she returns I hope she gets better writing.
Geoff represents a toxic relationship. He makes fun of you and all of your friends making everyone feel down, he cannot respect decisions you may want to make, he is more concerned about himself and his features than the more important things in life, he is horrible with commitment and cannot read a room, he will say whatever he has to say to get money and would throw you under the bus for a tiny spec of fame, he doesn’t make an effort to know you and gives up too quickly. Guys and girls and whoever else may be reading this...please do not be like Geoff or date somebody like Geoff and if you are just know it’s never to late to start a new elation ship away from them.

As much as it hurts me (A Harold connoisseur) to say this, Harold deserved a few of the pranks (in episode 10 only) so that he'd own up to leaving his clothes everywhere (which apparently happens all the time despite there not being any clothes anywhere in the cabin in the episode before)

The reason you lost it in Season 2 may have been because in Season 1, you got voted off for being too nice. That really does explain a lot. But we're glad your back to your usual self.

Tbh after Action they fixed him back up, in world tour he recovered slowly (especially during the blaineley roast) and by RR I had no resentment against him and he became my fave again

I think it's similar to Chris,maybe fame and success made Chris turn into nothing but a heartless Psychopath that only loves money and Tortures Teens That and The fact that he had a very horrible childhood (according to Christian potenza) so with that plus the Toxicity of Fame and Popularity it broke his mind into nothing but a Psychopath,just remember he was in some way "Sane" on the first season until TDA where he was slightly insane...and then we have TDWT Chris
Total drama action is such a strange season for this character. He's basically such a chill person in every other season.

I think Bridgette brings out the worse in him. The season he really shined in was Ridonculous Race, because you guessed it, he barely mentioned Bridgette, and his bromance with Brody was way sweeter than just seeing him make out with Bridgette.

Geoff would even go far as feed Gwen to piranhas when it wasn't even her fault, it was Trent's fault (and partly Owen's because he is the one who gave him the idea) and put eliminated contestants on the electric chair the chair used to kill people for their crimes
It's also kinda Duncan's fault for saying everything Trent did was for Gwen and that he was doing the 9 thing because of the letters in Trent and Gwen make 9, when really it was because of his grandma or something like that.
But the electric chair was low voltage so it wouldn’t kill anyone.
Geoff is my favorite character!
I like how 95% of this is just Action aftermaths.

People in the comments need to realize every time some changes their character, it’s not always meant to make you like them. They wanted Geoff to get development and being a bad guy was a good way to brighten him up. It shows in Ridonculous Race Geoff coming up with some killer one liners about his opponents or teammates whenever they try to insult him for being a dumb surfer dude. If it was Island Geoff going straight into RR, then he wouldn’t have the development that was shown.
I feel like that since he got his own show, he literally turned into Chris I liked him in island but action and world tour just made me want to punch him but he revived himself in ridonculous race

I don't hate Geoff for this. I hate the script for Geoff's character. Whoever wrote him like this for the aftermath show needs to take a hike. Geoff was super nice on TDI. He would've never made any insults towards Bridgett (especially not like that), unless it was something cheesy. I found the Aftermath show to be absurdly boring anyway.

You know, seeing Owen and DJ on this compilation basically shows how much more saintly those two are compared to Geoff.
Geoff also abandoned DJ in the ep "hook , line and screamer" because DJ ask Geoff to guard him while he went to the bathroom. Geoff left DJ alone when Geoff heard a ice cream truck { which is a trap by Chris}. In the elimination ceremony DJ got kicked off because he didn't get scared by Chef in a killer outfit DJ instead got scared by Heather with a green face mask. If Geoff haven't of left DJ for a ice cream trap then DJ wouldn't have got scared by Heather and therefore wouldn't been eliminated. People talked badly about Owen throwing Izzy at Chef to save himself but no one hold Geoff accountable for leaving DJ alone in the ep "hook , line and screamer" especially because DJ got eliminated from Total Drama because of Geoff's idiocy.

Also forgot in season 1 when Bridget got voted off because Duncan got three votes and he was the last person to get an marshmallow and in order for Bridget to be kicked off she needs 4 votes. The votes when like is Owen got two {Heather and Lindsay] Duncan got three { Bridget, Leshawna and Gwen} which mean Bridget got 4 votes [ Duncan, Owen and DJ] are confirmed while the two people who didn't confirmed their vote were Geoff and Izzy. Why would Izzy vote for Bridget? maybe because of the skunk stink but other than that no other reason while Geoff have a bigger reason because he agreed with the other guys to vote off someone together and that someone is Bridget which means he lied to Bridget and to make thing worse tried to give her a goodbye kiss but backed off at the last second because of the skunk stink. Which also means Brigette hooked up with the guy that got her eliminated from the show.
Although he’s not my favorite character I think Geoff is a cool character.

Is it me, or does becoming a show host corrupt a person in this universe?
Think about it, every host we've seen is awful in one way or another, with little regard for people's feelings or lives. Geoff becoming a host made him worse, and Chris grew more cruel and sadistic the longer he retained the role of show host.
