This perfectly balanced, modern remodel held onto all the charm of the originally built home. We expect the home will be coming up for sale within the next month or two. The current owner is a physician who walks to work every day, even in the winter.
I would like to ask how I can get a visa to work in Rochester. Unfortunately, they don't accept psychology degrees, but I can work with any other opportunity.
For a Metro area of over 200,000, I am surprised how few higher end chain restaurants are in the area. No, Ruth's Chris, Coopers Hawk, Seasons 52, Capital Grill or even Bonefish.
Hi Dave, thanks for your comment. Those are all great restaurants that hopefully will come to Rochester one day. I am pretty happy that we got Crave this past year so hopefully that will bring other nice restaurants as well.
:) weather wise you are better off in Miami or San Francisco but Rochester is a great place to live, overall. More affordable and easier to commute for sure!

There are some special programs for certain Mayo employees depending on their role where you can qualify to purchase a home through a bank as a foreigner. Byron is about 18 min away from Mayo. You basically would take Highway 14 which become Civic center drive and then head south to St. Mary’s Hospital or Mayo Clinic downtown.
Before I moved here , I was used to living in cities with great mass transit or that were so densely populated I could walk most places and I really miss that. What are the best and most vibrant neighborhoods with the highest walkability scores here ? Is a transit center/expansion coming anytime soon and how can we get more details on this?
Great questions, there are several neighborhoods with great wall ability scores. One of my favorites is Kutzky Park. There are plans for a transit system coming up in 2025. www.rochestermn.gov/departments/administration/rochester-rapid-transit-3669

No parking anywhere.....and an antiquated worthless transporation system. Unless you want to bike it in the snow, rain, and heat, look elsewhere.
