I LOVE that you and Steve are bringing back .177's. I asked for it, and you guys answered. There are a lot of us out here who own .177's.

As always a good and honest review on a rifle that isn’t in the FX wonder land gun. The Stormrider gen 1 in .177 with the reg is amazing even with NSA slugs, 135 bar with a 220 fill = 18 shots on the reg and a 50 yard hunting tool. Will do a dime fairly consistently @ 50 yards, will take fox, coyotes with good shot placement. Avenger is a teaser but a little to heavy.

My Avenger is .177 and in plastic. Mounted with a Sightmark Photon RT. It took out a garden raiding rabbit at 70 yards. Wood stocks are heavy and the more equipment you load it down with the heavier it gets. With the Photon RT , an IR illuminator and a bipod put together weigh more than the gun. Mine is as it came ,reg at 2500. It likes slugs , one ragged hole at 50yards. Howelers in .!77.

@@motorgearhead I bought the .25 Avenger but .25 ammo is hard to get so I bought a .22. Now decent .22 ammo is hard to find so I purchased a .177. All three are shooters but I think the .177 is going to be my iguana gun.
My 177 is set up to shoot JSB Beast 16.2 grain @ 883 FPS for 28fpe. Dime sized groups at 40 yards. I'm really happy with the NSA 12.5 grain slugs though. The muzzle velocity for the NSA 12.5s is 955 FPS for 25fpe. The groups aren't as tight as the JSB Beast, about a nickel @ 40 yards, but they hit hard and although they are lighter they handle the wind better than the JSB Beast. I head shot a medium sized green iguana at 21 yards and the entry wound was about the size of the slug but the exit wound blew out the side of it's head.

Mine shot about 3 feet low and about 1.5 feet to the right at 30 yards. I was all out of vertical adjustments (2 different scopes), still shot 1.5-2 inches low. They first tried to tell me nothing was wrong and tried to up-sell me some adjustable rings.. I don't want to modify, jerry-rig or repair a new rifle.. Don't buy from Utah Airguns, if you get a good one fine, but if you don't they will discourage you and try to force you to keep it, using their 25% restocking fees plus shipping..
