- Greetings commanders! In todays video I will be learning how to mine in Spacebourne 2: update 2.1.0
There was a bug in the previous version that didn’t allow for us to mine in our ships. It’s fixed!
But now let’s determine if it’s worth it compared to the other very lucrative money-making methods in SpaceBourne 2. I hope you enjoy my mining beginners guide as we learn to mine together!

Also you can overload your ship and still get back to the station, I usually mine until I have 4-5 stacks of 99 each and then just go get something to drink as I warp back to sell.
Manual mining, adjust the power of the mining laser to zero, put a couple of rubber bands around your mouse buttons and go to the pub.
By the time you get back you'll be filthy rich. As has been mentioned, doesn't matter about overfilling your ship, it just takes longer to get going.

If its the green stuff I’m thinking then it is listed as “Assorted” its the “Asortak” ore thats worth (not work) 22.5k per unit (I’m still new so its the only green deposit I’ve found so far in playing)
Also I would do the mining by hand not shit due to the fact you will get more ore by doing by hand that also where the glitch comes to play
still control+H to dock but don't work in all stations for some reason
It has been working well for me lately… it definitely is a time saver when it does work.
Do you have to travel through space in 3rd person?
No you don’t. It’s funny you ask because that was my big question going into this game. I enjoy flying in first person in most games because of the immersion, I suppose. But for some reason.. in this one I tend to use 3rd person more than usual. Maybe it feels more arcadeish than other space sims. Idk.
Buying a mining ship is 4.8 mil for me. Feels a bit steep for the first mining ship. And it's the Huqea
I completely agree… I would probably hold off on it if you haven’t bought it yet.
Ship price is tied to piolot lvl it’s 400 k at lvl 1

Honestly, Mining is still not good in term of money. Even for early stage.
Doing Bounties is much better, not just the reward but also the loot and reputation.
Honestly I still haven’t really mastered the ship combat in this game. I believe that I have been taking bounty missions that are too high of a level for me at the moment. 🤷🏻♂️
I made 66 Milion in 5Hours with Mining Asortak Ore and theoratical you dont even need a mining ship for that.
You can just look for Astoroids with nothing on their surface (Coal, Iron, Gold or whatever could be seen from outside)
Those external blank Astoroids will have an Ore Core.... its either Nickel, Platinium, Wolfram or even Asortek.

Sadly mining is not really worth it:-(.. and its kinda boring aswell. I hope he will make it either pay off better, or make the Mining Guild Tiers better, or he could add some missions for it..
Maybe add some "rare" random stuff you get mining, needed for epic crafting or the likes.
And i dont really find it relaxing, cause you have to "catch" the ore and hold down the mining lazer to activate it. Its simply to much "boring" work in its current state.... but hey, not everything will be perfect🙂
P.s and sadly the bomb thing dosnt really work, as it clears to much for to little.
Right on point! I feel like I saw one of your videos and you were bringing in quite a bit more than I did? Maybe it was someone else? I love the channel though! Either way… you’re right. It’s not worth it at this point.
@@DADDOnaut By doing Asotek (i think thats the name) only found in Asorted astoroids, you can do a bit more, as its the most valuable mineral. But even so, the income is still not worth the time.

Would it be cheating if you reassigned the LMB and RMB to keyboard and sit something on them to hold them down while you do other things? (Cos i totally haven’t started doing that with the handheld mining thing turned up to 99% efficiency) and check on it from time to time to move/ find other deposits…..

@daddonaut so hey idk what they are all saying if your wanting to make a lot of money and wanna invest some time to make the money then this is what I suggest. If you are gonna work all day get on the game fine the green stuff aka ASORTAK is the ore. Mine that for 6-8 hours.. overload yr ship and then leave to sell. If you do this and you have the carrier mining ship you will make after tax around if not close to 200 million credits. Which for me is great. Because there is a mining glitch also rn, which if you don't move your mining Lazer off the ore and keep it there it will not destroy the ore but will still collect the ore.. I know that sounds weird but it's nice and profitable and I work all day and just let my guy mine while I'm away and boom come home cash out ore and then start spending ships based men you name it !!@daddonaut gaming
My first thought was that the method you suggest would almost feel like cheating BUT it’s no different than hiring workers to do the mining for you in games like X4 Foundation. Also like you said, most of us have to work and if I’m given the choice to mine for hours in my free time or spend time with my family, I’m picking my kids every time. I totally agree with you and appreciate you sharing your method! Thanks for the sub as well!
