Elephants feeding

A family of elephants stumbled upon a tree that had been pushed over by another elephant a few days earlier. We watched as the youngsters pushed each other around to find a spot around the tree to feed on the twigs and branches lying on the ground.
Elephants enjoy feeding on these twigs and branches as they contain many nutrients they might need. They also have water stored in them, which can be very helpful, especially during the drier winter months.
