Josh, I'm glad you are taking a break from this. I know that the incessant reporting of primarily minor changes, particularly given how you do such a thorough review EACH TIME, requires a great deal of investment of your time and effort. I know that your viewers have appreciated the work you have put into these, but that time is yours to spend, and I have no doubt that you can find more fulfilling, and better ways to invest your time as a content creator, Nevertheless, I will miss the weekly updates. I've come to realize that part of why I like them is how you honestly react to the changes and how you include the details - which triggers me to usually make my own detailed comments on the features you present. I truly look forward to seeing your new content. There are many other games and I have always had fun watching your streams and videos where those other games are featured.
RE: content of the update: OK so biome suitability is creating a problem so that something else offers a solution - with the result that only people who want plants for decoration (who have evergreen) will bother planting crops outside. I can agree to some extent at having a strong reduction or other impact on plants in extreme biomes but some of these are just stupid. - 60% in grasslands - GRASSLANDS? Literally, grasslands form the "breadbaskets" for the world due to their incredible suitability for GROWING CROPS. What are they smoking? They are essentially just making farming be a stupid option anywhere other than in a greenhouse...rendering all the investment they put into the animal powered planting and harvesting materials (especially because they produce the worst quality mounds) essentially a waste of time... It begs the question of whether they have anyone who looks their changes over and thinks about the impact of changes - and who feels that they can actually voice their opinions.... Peace my friend!
Well John, they are definately not smoking the good stuff. If they were, it would be bursts of inspiration and marvelous ideas that make sense.
yah man I'm not even sure anymore. They seem so disconnected from their player base they still have left ,its baffling. But hey all good things come to an end. We probably have been wanting to do this for the past couple of months. The changes they keep making don't make the game fun to me, and when a game isn't fun to me I don't play it. Simple enough. Your support has been invaluable with Icarus though =) Thanks man
Thank you for all the updates - it has helped a lot with my development in game. I myself played Icarus a lot early on and have only just come back to it. A break like that really helped me as I now really look forward to anytime I get to play the game. Thank you for the time and effort you have put in with these videos!

Just wanted to say thank you for all your wonderful Icarus updates week after week! Although I stopped playing Icarus since they "improved" the wind turbine, I had continued to enjoy your update videos each week. Besides the enjoyable content, I guess I was hoping to learn that the devs have finally decided to make the game fun again instead of more chores. Have fun with whatever new projects you guys will be doing.

I think they really need to focus on adding more content to the game, and fixing all the bugs before or if I come back. They have been adding new things but not new content.

Thanks for all your work on the updates. I'll miss them, but I completely understand. IMO the last few updates have seemed like alot of chore and upkeep additions to the game which are making it feel like work instead of fun.

You've always been my go-to for Icarus updates. Maybe you can get away from regular/weekly updates and just shift to a once in a while update video if something really cool is implemented in the game, like the Prometheus expansion, etc.
Maybe, though I’m unsure when those will be, and make no promises at the time, I will probably play the new world bosses and stuff when added but not till then. And maybe check out the next expansion

Strange indeed. We dig with spades not shovels. We use shovels to move the likes of soil, sand, rubbish etc. I need to refer when gardening with the word spade, sorry if that pisses anyone off but my brain thinks in it's own way. In my garden we can dig to plant with a cheap spade, sometimes they break. Dose not however affect the growth of our plants. We have very nice spades for gardening good quality ones, they last far longer and are more efficient. They do not in any way improve the quality of the plants. I'm glad we get better shovels in Icarus, I'm not impressed with the way the buffs have been implemented. I tried again to play but one of the latest updates has put me back rubberbanding all over at around 8 to 12 fps. It had been running nice 2 weeks ago. I'd much rather have the ability to play the game. I have bought every DLC, it is my favorite game. I bought it after watching your videos. You are the best in my opinion for the updates. Leave them for others. Let your creativity and talent out in your game editing. We need your Dee and Josh funnies, your songs etc.
Yah we ain’t going anywhere, just stopping icarus. The game has changed to the point we no longer enjoy it, and why play a game you don’t enjoy. 😊 thanks for all the support hope to see you in the next video
Sad to see these videos end. But as you said 126 weeks workout a break. If anybody deserves a holiday it is you!! Sorry that you fell out of love with the game. The developers also lost their passion when they caved to public opinion. Going to miss these videos but not at the expense of your mental health, stay happy! 😊

@LateNightStream I saw, I will 100% enjoy that while travelling! Normally, I'm not a stream watcher, but I have just picked up a copy to play with some family members on the other side of the world. I can appreciate your frustration, but it's not even close to Bethesda games! So remember, it could be worse. Always appreciate your videos though!

Just to clarify the workshop shovel prevents storm damage up to tier 8 (so prevents all storm damage) and prevents withering, so is there for the pure decoration enabling aspect.
It'll be sad to see you go from Icarus weekly videos tho. Thank you for your passion and dedication for these weeks and best of luck and fun in your future endeavours :)
You guys did a really poor job explaining there was a workshop shovel, but I guess it doesn't matter at this point. Thanks for letting others know they have to spend credits just to decorate. Honestly the reason why I'm leaving. Otherwise thanks for the game while we enjoyed it. Maybe one day you guys will take all the chores away and make the game fun again.

Hey thanks so much for watching them. We enjoyed doing them for a while but as my mom says all good things come to an end. And we’re there so.
It is also not entirely clear how to build greenhouses if they break during a strong storm?
Build glass around them basically, and if you want the glass to be the same durability as stone connect a water pipe to the glass working bench for durable glass. It will take them a long time to break or you can put concrete for the ceiling and glass around to get the same effect just use a half concrete pieces around the edges and you’ll never have to repair them. I’ve actually never had to repair my glass but once in two years.
Where can I get an aeroponic plot? I can't find it in production

Yah we’re just getting started. Though we will no longer be playing icarus we’re definitely not done with the channel. But I get people will be sad we no longer are doing the updates.
