- I'm back! Sorry about the time away, I have a PhD now and I just started a job at Bugcrowd. But while I've been taking a break the way I take notes has changed a lot since the Notion video and Notion doesn't really work for me anymore. So in this video, I'll show you how to get started with Obsidian, what it is, how it works, and why it's awesome. THEN I'll show you a note-taking methodology that is perfect for obsidian and really takes advantage of the cool features it offers!

Crazy, I happened to already use Obisidian for digital notes before. A colleague and I discussed and researched note taking applications for awhile befoer landing on Obsidian as well.

Wow I've been considering switching to obsidian from cherry tree since a friend recommended me a book "How to take smart notes". I haven't read it yet, have you read it?

I thought I saw somewhere that your notes aren't private with Obsidian though? Can't they (Obsidian themselves) access/see all your data?
it's offline text files afaik unless you choose to sync
