    Nice Technology. One question: Are the 17Xe and eSuspension used in the Nikola Motor Trucks? I think I saw the same configuration during a short exhibition video, but any comments or explanation of the technology used on this Nkola truck.

    Poor design, why have a crown and pinion ? Electric wheel with planetary hubs, less weight, less monkey motion. Perfect example of stuck in a rut design.

      planetaries have more losses than comparable crown and pinions. The number of gear pairs involved is a lot higher, so the losses also are

      Torque in this case is transmitted by tooth to tooth contact, that total torque only has a fixed area of tooth to travel through. Having an Electric motor directly driving the Sun gear eliminates the 90 degree turn that torque has to pass through and eliminates the need for a spider gear set and all the mass needed to contain those gear sets. planetary hubs are always used in high wheel torque hubs @@andrxito

      @@nfarnell1 you are not wrong, but the amount of teeth involved is a lot higher than with the other one, usually.
