    Excelente todas las artes marciales son buenas lo que las hace es el Maestro y el practicante o alumno.
    Soy practicante de Hapkido y sería muy poco ético de parte denigrar de algún arte marcial. Para los practicantes de cualquier arte marcial un concejo esfuerzo, dedicación, amor, respeto y superar a su maestro pero con respeto.

    I've studied Hapkido for many years and I respect it. But fights just don't unfold like this. When you hit an attacker 9 out of 10 times he shrugs it off and his momentum just carries him into you. (This is true for Muay Thai even). These arms grabs......the attacker doesn't let you take an additional 9/10th of a second to execute. The gross motor takes over and a death struggle ensues if he is trying to kill you. With great respect, just like Kenpo and Karate, the technique always resolves into large power techniques that require refined muscle memory. That's why BJJ, Judo, and MMA work in "real" combat situations.

    • @radiantmind8729
      @radiantmind8729 Před rokem

      You just have to tenderize your attacker a bit first with hard, well placed strikes, and then those arm grabs work spectacularly.

    No offense at all. Hapkido uses lots of techniques from other martial arts. It's a combination. Nothing new. I can see here techniques from Taekwondo, Aikido, Judo some from Chinese martial arts as well.

    • @virgilleedortch
      @virgilleedortch Před 3 lety +1

      That’s the idea; Hapkido is designed to be an art that can help the practitioner defend against other arts by both being well rounded and knowledgeable in the most commonly used techniques of other arts.

    • @radiantmind8729
      @radiantmind8729 Před rokem

      You’re absolutely right. There’s nothing new under the sun. Hapkido is an eclectic or mixed martial art born in the 20th century as a result of Japan occupying Korea. Essentially, it is a combination of Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu (the precursor of Aikido), Judo, and various Korean martial arts like Tae Kwon Do & Tang Soo Do.
