I guess both are great, but still would go for Apple original
I would go for the new logitech combo touch for iPad Pro
want to see magic keyboard vs Logitech combo touch 12.9 ipad pro
In my opinion, no keyboard should actually cost nearly or over the price of an ipad or Samsung tablet. That's ridiculous. You can get a mechanical keyboard for much cheaper and mouse for the same price or even less.
The ipad is not a laptop and shouldn't be treated like one.
I’d go for a proper protection case with stand + a wireless keyboard. Tried these keyboard case, really scared of carrying these in backpacks and pretty much useless at home.
When your iPad is cheaper than the magic keyboard 😭
Your iPad has the old design though.
@@Tom_Stevens617 Ik I want the iPad Pro so bad
@@saada5369 huh this literally makes no sense if your ipad breaks when you put a case on then ether the case is bad, or your forcefully putting the case on. I have the m1 ipad put cases on and off many of times and it hasn't bent. If you are sitting on your ipad then your clearly not taking care of the stuff you bought. Also no one is punching their ipad
@@Tom_Stevens617 But hey, it's functional, and that's what matters.
@@WORLDINONEGO Even the new Air has the modern flat design. Although I'd recommend getting the 2018 Pro over the Air instead, if you don't need or can't afford the M1 Pro.
Brydge Max+ HAS notches on the side, to "open" the ipad and keyboard and another embosed notch to separate it easier.
Yeah was gonna say the same thing he says it doesn't have a notch to help open it but it very clearly does don't know how he missed that.
This keyboard almost have the same look as The Macbook Air lmao
Not air but the 12" macbook
A couple days ago I finally tried the Apple Magic keyboard case at Best Buy and was actually surprised at how much I didn’t like it. Got the Logitech Folio Touch, and while the actual keyboard switches don’t feel quite as good to type on, that’s literally the only thing I liked better about Apple’s case. Logitech’s has a taller trackpad, larger wrist rests, a function row, materials that both look and feel better, protects the iPad Pro better, and I love how I can flip the keyboard around and comfortably watch videos with my iPad in bed beside me or on my lap without the keyboard in the way. Not quite as comfortable as using like a standard tablet, but that’s something I very rarely do.
The material is one of the biggest reasons I went with the Brydge, the magic keyboard stains and gets shiny over time.
@@FULLM3T8L Yeah, definitely not ideal!
@@cadenchurchill4296 Definitely not for the price!
The Brydge is a lot better now….my feeling is apple was not working with them on engineering and software like they should have. More than likely apple did not want to sabotage they’re own sales of the Magic Keyboard which everyone will tell you is overpriced.
I got a thirty dollar keyboard for my 8th gen iPad off of Amazon, and it's literally a tiny MacBook, that's also a convertible and a two in one, using magnets.
This was the review I was waiting for before deciding! Thanks for such a thorough review!
Next time you can do a comparison between the Logitech Combo Touch for iPad Pro and the Magic keyboard case! That would be more interesting
The kickstand design is inferior if you’re hoping to use it on your lap or on an uneven surface.
No need......the Logitech has far too many flaws and still costs a lot. You can't balance the Logitech on your lap, this one thing is a NO GO for me as I like to relax on the couch or in bed with my iPad on my lap. No power port on the Logitech, so you have to use a dongle or occupy the one port on your iPad to power it. Also, the case has a cutout for the iPad port BUT it's so narrow that it limits the type of cables/accessories you can plug into it. Far too many flaws still with the Logitech for it to actually be an option.
@@8654ZuluFoxtrot but for my use case, the Logitech Combo Touch is the best alternative to the Magic keyboard
It can be constructive to conduct a comparison as well, I don’t see why not
@@cameronbosch1213 cuz it's an iPad lol
@@Toyeboy89 at least it still uses a hard-wired connection and costs less than the Magic Keyboard
The lack of function keys on the Apple keyboard is a dealbreaker. How do you quickly turn down the volume? Or adjust screen brightness?
Control center. If you think about it, it’s faster adjusting brightness and volume from there as you can quickly slide it all the way down or up then pressing keys multiple times.
@@JackMihoff6969 Not convinced. When an annoying ad appears, mid word in a sentence, I hit ONE key ONCE on my keyboard to silence it. And once again after the ad. I use this all the time on monetized CZcams videos.
@@skepticsr_us would agree with you on that part. I actually ordered the Logitech Combo Touch for this.
Although I am an Apple addict, they lose me on their keyboards with no function keys. With the function keys and the huge trackpad, I would choose the Brydge even if they were the same price. (But not at $350... that's way too expensive for ANY keyboard case.) I just managed to score a brand new MAX+ for $172, and I feel like I've definitely 'won'! (Although I miss not having a mute key on the function row and would love having somewhere to actually store the Apple Pencil other than just the magnet. But Apple's keyboard doesn't have either of those either.) I wasn't thrilled at first with the Brydge Pro+ I have, but that was even greatly improved with the firmware updates, making it more like Apple's trackpad.
I just bought an iPad Pro 12.9 and the seller included the Brydge Pro+ and I really like the design and feel and functions over my previous magic keyboard. The only reason(s) I just ordered the Max+ is because I miss the ability to easily remove the iPad and I can’t have a screen protector on while in the Pro+ because the hinge clamps are too tight.
Great comparison review. Thank you.
I don’t like the magic keyboard and I’ve had it since it came out. It doesn’t work well on your lap or anything other then a table. Hate the look, key set up and way it “floats”. Looking forward to the new Brydge.
The Brydge can now be bought on eBay for $50 or less and its 100 percent worth it at this point. Most if not all of the problems he listed has been addressed and the keyboard feels a lot better. I’m a brand guy and I completely get why someone would like to have the Magic Keyboard. But at this price point, it can’t be beat.
I got my for $54 at a liquidation warehouse at the mall.
Thanks for comparison!
A bit disappointed to see Brydge being less stable despite its considerably higher weight.
Perhaps, if you keep it at angle that is identical to Magic Keyboard, it would wobble/fall back as much, but then it loses the point of having wider opening angle.
Also, I wonder if they have improved their touch pad performance and reliability in further firmware updates?
Been thinking about getting either Max+ or Magic Keyboard for my M1 12.9, both are expensive and not sure how well the Magic Keyboard will look like after 3-4 years of active use, especially the white one, yet, somehow, despite the lack of function row, it might be better bet overall.
I was on the fence about this one. Glad I ended up getting the Apple Magic Keyboard, my only gripe with it is that it marks too easily
When I was going to watch this video, it just pops up the brydge keyboard ad before the video starts
I was waiting for this
Best part about the new 11 inch is it’s the same Magic Keyboard as the 2020. Bought a new one for $160.
I like the Magic Keyboard, and the I-Pad floats over the keyboard. But I wish they had added a function row, and that you can fold it back. Other than that I like the Magic Keyboard. I am glad that I spent the extra $100 for the Magic Keyboard.
Proudly using my iPad Pro 11" 2018 with a new white Magic Keyboard (got rid of the wrinkled Folio). Decided to hang on for a while since the M1 iPad Pro didn't exactly impress me. Right now, 2018 has all I need. I guess the fact that I have an M1 MacBook Air and a 2020 iMac 5500XT is sinking in and finally telling me not to waste money on a rather useless new processor for iPadOS.
Can’t beat the beautiful design and functionality of the apple magic keyboard. This is a must have accessory with any iPads that support it. The third party keyboards are adequate, but just not the same. I’d like to see a third party make a clone of the magic keyboard case and sell it for 1/2 the price.
Magic Keyboard price is just ridiculous. So many CZcamsrs have one. I would argue that if they were just common people they would have never bought one of those.
You can buy a macbook with the same price lmao
@@CucumberFoam I have bought a Lenovo chromebook duet that comes with a keyboard and touchpad cover. Or you can buy MSFT stock 😂
@@cameronbosch1213 I think most of the problems comes from the fact that Apple made a 12.9 giant tablet built for portrait mode. If they would have put the pins like the Surface pro they could have added a magnetic cover with a built in kickstand and a keyboard with pins like the surface keyboard, function keys and a larger trackpad. Instead we got this messy design full of compromises.
or buy a macbook
I am using Linux Desktop primarily for programming, while also have been testing macOS in VM, enjoying watching CZcams videos about M1 MacBooks and I would love to get my hands on Macbook 14 :), Unix, Optimised OS, Boosted ARM chip, Great battery; Unrivaled Laptop for programming ,
These Keyboards weigh almost the same. They are both under 3 lbs without the iPad Pro and both just a little over 3 lbs with the iPad Pro connected. Hands down you get more with the Brydge Max+.
How about a three-way comparison including the Logitech combo touch?
I never really understood screen protectors for iPad. i’ve never scratched mine. and i’m not like throwing bare into my pockets or a bag. I have the otterbox symmetry series 360 elite which has the folio cover for when i’m not using the ipad. I feel like that’s all you need
Do you know if you could use a clear magnetic protective case and still connect it to the Brydge case?
The thing about Apple product is most of the time they got it right on the first try (so little to none noticeable drastic design changes). I guess they’re not shy on spending budget for R&D and pricing their stuffs so high.
I got my brydge keyboard last week didn’t like it very much. Got my magic keyboard today. Couldn’t be happier
I am running the Brydge Pro+ and running it on the 12.9 iPad Pro running iPadOS 15 and I am having no problems at all and it my main keyboard.
Had a magic keyboard, returned it ,and bought the Brydge instead. You’ll love it!
The quality of the magic keyboard feels the same as the keyboard folio case from Apple which lasted me a year. Brydge keyboard looks like better quality and I love that I can actually use an iPad Pro on my lap where I couldn’t with the magic keyboard.
@@motifuser Yes I do and I can not wait for the Max+ to come in since the multi touch is now working like it should.
When old goatee leaves a new one takes its spot and builds on itself
Brydge in my opinion has a decent product in their hands.
However I would love for them to add that floating function to their next iteration.
Keep the same keyboard and fix/upgrade the track pad.
Once these things are address then I can see it become the de facto for most people looking for the best of both worlds.
Will the iPad Air 5th Gen work with the Brydge 11? It’s essentially the same size as the iPad Pro 11
This guy is low key the best reviewer on CZcams lol
Very honest
that glitch with three finger swipe is on my dads logitech combo touch for iPad Pro 2021
thx man!
Pondered between these two (and the Logitech Combo Touch) for a while and decided to go with the Magic Keyboard. I do like the wider hinge angle of the Brydge but as you have also indicated, there were more benefits with the Magic Keyboard. Two key points for me too was I actually don't want the iPad to look like a laptop and the hover design (for me) was more interesting and I really like that the Magic Keyboard uses the Smart Connector (hence why I was also looking at the Logitech). Finally, I don't treat it necessary as a $100 (or AU$150 for me) more at the time of purchase but think about it as $100 over at least 3 years (which would be my minimal timeframe for this keyboard) and that's like a coffee a month!
Good review
@Max Tech Can u compare the new logitech keyboard vs the magic keyboard
they will after they got that
As of Nov 2022, I’ve tried the Brydge 12.9 and unfortunately the trackpad issues remain, despite being on the latest stable releases of both iPadOS and Brydge firmware. Very disappointed since the Brydge is near perfect otherwise.
So the gestures were buggy?
He Max Tech, about the Brydge 12.9 MAX+.
Can it be used together with the MagEZ case from Pikata?
OMG !!! They definitely saw my comment, thank you for this vid ❤️
How’s the protection on the brydge when travelling?
Do they have an 11 inch version?
Pls also do a comparison video for the new Logitech combo touch 12.9
Spending the extra $100 is way worth it - the trackpad on the Brydge keyboard will become something you wish wasn’t even there over time because of the glitch!
Glitch? Something they can fix with firmware release.
Don’t forget the to big trackpad .. yes to big is possible .. every time u write something and your palm hit the trackpad ..because it’s on ur way .. and the cursor goes crazy 😂
have you reviewed brydge???
Geez I just bought one of these for $50 on Amazon. Looks nice.
I have a video idea for you guys ,compare M1 MBA performance and battery life with low power mode enabled ( macOS Monterey ) and without low power enabled
Nobody has done this before
Would it be possible to place the iPad in Portrait position with Brydge? with Apple?
How do I get this app in the US. For some reason the app cannot be download as it stated it is not available in my region.
Please Reply Urgent I have ipad pro M1 12.9 Comobo touch is better protection rather than magic keyboard.
Can I use Both Logitech combo touch and Magic Track pad simultaneously?
But need Best Swiping experience.

for gaming M1 MacBook Air 7core GPU and 16gb Ram 256gb SSD, or 8 core GPU and 8 gb RAM 512gb SSD? These configs are about the same price!
Does bridge make the plus for 11 pro iPad?
i would absolutely buy the bridge if they made a surface-like solution where you can detach the ipad with the upper part so you can paint or take notes. Is there a solution like that?
Yes there is, it’s called the Logitech Combo Touch.
@@salocin9009 is it available for the ipad air 4?
Unfortunately no, I have an iPad Air 4 and am hoping they release a Combo Touch for it like how they released the Logitech Folio Touch for Air 4 a few months after the Pro version.
Get a used or open box magic keyboard on ebay. I did that. I'm also waiting for my brydge keyboard
Can you still use the screen protector on the upgraded Brydge ?
I have tried two glass screen protectors, and both have started cracking at the bottom just left of hinge, about 1/8th of an inch from the edge of the iPad
Does the 'click' on the trackpad even really matter when you can just use tap to click instead?
I literally only click the trackpad just to hear it.
This was actually a question I was going to ask. Didn’t know if you were able to tap the brydge keyboard to select
Has new firmware helped the Brydge’s trackpad in Nov. 2021?
it did, i own a max+ for the air 4 and as far as i am concerned the trackpad works smooth as hell. I have not encountered a single problem with gestures and functionality in general.
I have the latest firmware and it seems to work pretty smooth to me.
is it possible to switch to azerty mode on this keyboard? thank you!
Brydge is way better here and I guess the only thing that would be bad is that there’s no pass through. That just means you have to plug in the hard drive or device into the iPad directly…but that’s not too bad. The size and weight isn’t too bad since it just becomes a laptop at that point…which is basically is with a keyboard case.
can you game with the bluetooth keyboard?
If the Brydge ever adds the Smart connector and leaves the battery for extra battery life, and add a USB-A, they’ll really have something.
It’s proprietary to Apple and they so far have only allowed Logitech to use it.
I have the 11inch Brydge Pro and man was that cover annoying. I just keep my iPad in its case and bring my keyboard when I need it
For someone like me who has a majorly screwed-up back and cannot currently lift anything more than 10 lbs (which is just sad, but it is what it is…) that 1/2 lb. does indeed make more of a difference than most might think!
I got an add for the brydge keyboard at the start of the video
Do a comparison with the Logitech Combo Touch
Try and compare the Magic Keyboard with the DOQO3 (Aluminum + Hub)
Please do a vid on the hp envy 15 ryzen 7 2021 model
And my Brydge Max+ will be here soon and I like it much better that I got rid of my Magic Keyboard and going to use the brydge full time now.
@@j.d6009 I can not stand the Magic Keyboard the material that it is made out of dose not hold up at all And the line of work I do I have to carry it all the time and looks so bad because I use it all the time. My Brydge is working like it should and look good as well.
I'd go with an Apple keyboard from 2007. Wired for low latency scenarios, and with a bluetooth adapter for less i,portant stuff. Apple's old keyboard is stiff AF, so I can put it in the backpack as a crack/snapp proofing
Sorely miss the escape key on the magic Keyboard
Before buying the Magic Keyboard case, I tried the Brydge Max +. The weight difference between the two options is very noticeable. The Brydge Max + feels significantly heavier, and the typing experience is just as good as what you experience on the Magic Keyboard case. I am 10 words a minute faster using the Magic Keyboard when compared to the Max +. Also, I am not a fan of using Bluetooth setup, even with it being fast pair, and its because of what you experienced in the video that the virtual keyboard will appear on accident. Also, even though the Max + trackpad is bigger, in this case bigger is not better as the Magic Keyboard trackpad is just smoother and more refined in touches and tracking your finger movement than that of the Max+.
I do wish, Apple would just buy Brydge already so they could adopt the laptop design of Brydge and just make it better. To me ever since the first generation keyboard cases have always felt like an unfinished product. I do not like the key travel and the keys themselves in my opinion have a coating on them that feels almost sticky to the touch. I feel like the paint of the actual case is going to rub off over time and just show its age faster than that of the Magic Keyboard.
Brydge went bankrupt right?
Compare the logitech Combo touch
I believe they already have a video on that. Combo Touch all the way!
For me Though the price is rather unpalatable the magic keyboard manages to offer the best combo of physical size ,seemless intergration with ipados and the ipad, lapability, weight, trackpad experience and typing experience
The logitech combo touch is almost perfect for me i just hate the kickstand design
Why not many complaining the limited tilt angle on magic keyboard, I find that irritating and it's weird that so many reviews not even mentioning this issue considering its gargantuan cost ...
The Bridge makes the tablet look like a laptop.
I’m more inclined to the new Logitech Keyboard case combo
It's heavy though. I didn't like the weight when detaching the keyboard and using my iPad as a tablet nor the added bulk.
compare the MAX+ to Logitech's combo touch pls
If this used the smart connector and had an 11 inch model, I'd buy one rn
There is a 11in model. Sadly no smart connector tho. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have gone that route.
@@TheRealJonsMind the 11 inch model doesn't attach the same way this one does, it uses the hinges where it sits inside the grooves, not the MacBook style one

Mine does that too and then when I see other non Apple products charge as close as they can to the Apple one because Apple can get 350 bucks so we can easily get 230 or more 😂
@@piplup10203854 we can ideally get the magic keyboard for $199 if not lesser.
I wouldn’t bother with the Brydge. The Magic Keyboard does it best at making the IPad as a laptop. The only other competition I’ve seen is the Logitech Combo Touch that turns your IPad into a sketch style/flat surface laptop/ kick stand with a case.
Compare the Magic Keyboard to the new Logitech Combo Touch keyboard for the 12.9” which also uses the 3-pin Smart Connector on the back!
Duuuuuuude the Brydge keyboard looks like a legit MacBook :D.
Not gonna lie, for a long time I thought you were just growing and shaving your beard every video.
0:50 THAT GIANT TOUCHPAD THO
Nice comparison dude!
I honestly don’t get it… Why not use that smart connector? Can someone explain?
Apple keep that proprietary, only Logitech have been allowed in the past.
@@TonyMacina yup
@@TonyMacina no they don’t. Brydge actually said that they prefered to go with Bluetooth, maybe because they’ve used it since before the smart connector and don’t really want to redesign everything (Logitech has much more funds and sell more keyboard so that makes sense for them).
Watching with m1 iPad feels goood
Do the combo touch reviewww
Can you use the magic keyboard to play Genshin?
In my opinion the apple products is always going to perform better than a third party product but the brydge keyboard style looks so much better apple should make there’s like the beydge
7:16 I wouldnt be surprised if Apple doesn't include function keys, in order to make sure people wont wanna use it with a regular Mac. (Yeah, probably software locked but people would find a way)
Does anyone know if the PITAKA Magnetic Case works with the Brydge keyboard?
That’s what I’m trying to figure out
Watch this video in 1.25x or 1.5x. Life is short and valuable.
Pros and Cons. Magic Keyboard doesn’t have a battery so nothing to charge but impacts the ipad. Magic Keyboard durability is low. Mine is coming apart at the seams. The Trackpad on the Brydge is far too big can gets auto clicked all of the time. If you want it to last get a Brydge (Assuming the battery lasts).
more camera angles!
I like the Brydge for the money.
i kinda liked the look of the brydge one, it looks like a real laptop unlike magic keyboard which kinda looks too small and weird. Such a shame it doesnt have a smart connector.
To me, the magic keyboard is the easy winner after trying both. In addition, I just got the 12.9 version on eBay for $160. Total no brainer.
I like your objectivity in your video's you try to give your reviews a even keel so to speak.
Brydge might wnt to add extra speakers
