I got into Gintama only this year (2022) and can I just say these two are one of the best things omg. After Jojo and Kuroko no Basuke, I never thought I'd ship a shounen anime couple as hard as I am shipping these two.

We fall in love with it once, we move on, we remembered the og love hate enemies to lovers pining rivalry copxrebel parent figure weirdo soulmate (I can add more ok) trope, and we come back to this one true iconic ship in anime history, and we rewatch everything and then read all the doujins (ALL no matter how fucked up harada sensei makes them) and then we move on for another year until we find ourself reminiscing and repeating the cycle. And it's not just ginhiji, it's just gintama as a whole for me... My safe space anime 😌 I want to believe ginhiji shippers are phoenixes
