@@cherniy_pios в реальных боевых условиях из них выжимали все соки. А тут берегут, везде на видосах так. Техника старая, тогда была новая, от этого зависели жизни. Так что давили на всю гашетку именно в самом бою, когда не замечаешь что вспотел как в сауне. Так что думаю тогда пошустрее было.

So, the shell will probably knock the tank and the crew will suffer from major concussion or died from the shockwave.

Concussive blast is a thing, but low velocity HE isn’t nearly as effective as a high velocity APFSDS in producing that wave on modern tanks. Дело в том что к середине 42 года КВ утратил свою актуальность, а модернизировать его не было возможным, так как модернизационного потенциала было очень мало. После принятия на вооружение танка ИС-2, к середине 44 г, была так же принята полная унификация производства техники. То есть полностью отказались от производства танков КВ и их базы. Именно в тот момент самоходки СУ и ИСУ стали выпускаться на базе ИСа, так как это позволяло производит один или другой тип техники не перестраивая само производство. Так например СУ 85 и СУ 100 выпускались на базе танка Т-34. На данном видео ИСУ произведенная во второй половине 46 г (кстати у этой самоходки отсутствует зенитный пулемет калибром 12.7 мм, видно сняли и не поставили, либо его у них просто небыло) , так как вертикальное расположение навесных баков, послевоенная модификация так же как и измененные подкрыльники, изначально боковой крышки небыло. У первых партий Су и ИСУ было 2 навесных бака, по 1 с каждой стороны. Позже, в конце 44 г. добали еще 2 бака, так как после операции Багратион, Красная Армия могла в день продвигаться до 60-80 км в день и одновременно с этим техника могла быть переброшена на другой участок фронта, поэтому кататься приходилось много, а для этого нужно больше топлива. Zveroboi's are actually not tanks, eventhough their name is Samokhodnaya Ustanovka na baze *tanka* IS s orudiyem kalibra 152mm. They apparently are self propelled guns, basically an artillery piece on tracked platform designed to wipeout Tigers.
It was designed to blast fortifications, actually. It was not built as a tank destroyer but as a heavy assault gun. It just turned out to be very effective at taking out Tigers as well.
From what I gather SU-152 was built from components not designed for the job they ended up receiving. The MU-20 Howitzer was designed to destroy the heavy strucktures you mentioned and the KV-2 based "pillbox killer" were planned as platforms for the gun in question. SU-152 ended up to be the model red army chose and it filled the gap in anti armor vehicles red army had compared to Germany.

ИСУ означает Истребительная Самоходная Установка и никакого отношения к Иосифу Сталину она не имеет (имеется в виду танк). Су и ИСУ выпускалось на одной и той же базе, на базе КВ на Ленинградском заводе. Дело в том что к середине 42 года КВ утратил свою актуальность, а модернизировать его не было возможным, так как модернизационного потенциала было очень мало. Попытка улучшить танк закончилась разработкой КВ 85, но он никак не устраивал военных. Его пришлось заново переделывать, разрабатывать новую ходовую, улучшать броне-защищенность ставить более мощьное 85 мм орудие и т.д. что привело к созданию обсолютно нового танка который получил обревиатуру ИС-1. Но так как производство КВ 1 и 2 было хорошо налажено, то этот аспект был очень важен в 42-43 годах, поетому СУ и ИСУ изначально выпускалось именно на базе танка КВ. После принятия на вооружение танка ИС-2, к середине 44 г, была так же принята полная унификация производства техники. То есть полностью отказались от производства танков КВ и их базы. Именно в тот момент самоходки СУ и ИСУ стали выпускаться на базе ИСа, так как это позволяло производит один или другой тип техники не перестраивая само производство. Так например СУ 85 и СУ 100 выпускались на базе танка Т-34. На данном видео ИСУ произведенная во второй половине 46 г (кстати у этой самоходки отсутствует зенитный пулемет калибром 12.7 мм, видно сняли и не поставили, либо его у них просто небыло) , так как вертикальное расположение навесных баков, послевоенная модификация так же как и измененные подкрыльники, изначально боковой крышки небыло. У первых партий Су и ИСУ было 2 навесных бака, по 1 с каждой стороны. Позже, в конце 44 г. добали еще 2 бака, так как после операции Багратион, Красная Армия могла в день продвигаться до 60-80 км в день и одновременно с этим техника могла быть переброшена на другой участок фронта, поэтому кататься приходилось много, а для этого нужно больше топлива. Так СУ и ИСУ получили 4 рядных бака, по 2 в ряд с каждой стороны.

This is ISU-152M, after global modification all soviet tanks (about unification and improvement of convenience) in 1959, when did appears T-44M, IS-2M (1943), IS-2M (1944), IS-3M, IS-4M, ISU-152M, ISU-122SM and other new modification of old tanks.
Difference between ISU-152 and ISU-152M is rotationable commander hatch with modified DShKM instead of DShK, new nightvision sight with indfrared headlight, new grid-protection of headlights, new engine V-54K (from T-54 series) instead of V-2IS (from IS-series), new overtracks cover with anti dust shields and with new side external tool boxes onto them.
ISU-152 and SU-152 has the same name - "Beast killer", because they successfully destroyed tigers, panthers, elephants, brumbars and other heavy beasts.

I've been using this beast in War Thunder quite a bit. It's surprisingly fast for it's massive size.
We Russians constantly go to the store on tanks together with a bear. Our pets are bears and wild dogs, along with wolves. We mainly eat sausage and drink vodka and play balalaika, and we even wear a hat in the summer. Here we are Russian

Dudes the isu-152 is a tank-destroyer and can be used aslo as assault gun (really heavy assault gun).
Zveroboi's are actually not tanks, eventhough their name is Samokhodnaya Ustanovka na baze *tanka* IS s orudiyem kalibra 152mm. They apparently are self propelled guns, basically an artillery piece on tracked platform designed to wipeout Tigers.
It was designed to blast fortifications, actually. It was not built as a tank destroyer but as a heavy assault gun. It just turned out to be very effective at taking out Tigers as well.
From what I gather SU-152 was built from components not designed for the job they ended up receiving. The MU-20 Howitzer was designed to destroy the heavy strucktures you mentioned and the KV-2 based "pillbox killer" were planned as platforms for the gun in question. SU-152 ended up to be the model red army chose and it filled the gap in anti armor vehicles red army had compared to Germany.

@@Gogi58 В реалиях Второй Мировой ее так-же хлопали, только с 2х км. Единственный способ применения против немецких тяжелых и средних танков - один выстрел из засады в упор, первый и он же последний, последний для самоходки. Впрочем ИСУ против них практически не применялась.
