Damn, 400whp on a 5eat! I've seen you in the legacy forums on Fb. I have an '05 wagon protuned with a vf52 and stock fueling (257whp and 298wtq, mustang dyno, 5280ft elev., 91oct). Building up the fueling for an FP blue, looking forward to the outcome.
It was a great turbo, probably even better on the 2.0L. It choked off a little bit up top for me though, which is why I switched to the FP Green. The TD06H turbine works a lot better for the 2.5L than the TD06SL2.
damn! what mods are you running in your engine? all forged? i own a wrx hatch 08 ej25 with fully forged engine and going to do the swap from my tdo4l to the vf52 but watching your video seems that i can pull with a 20g to get more than 300 whp, any recomendations?
Factory unopened engine. For the 20G and up, I've been running a 3"-2.5" intake, FMIC, bigger injectors and fuel pump, equal-length headers, 3" catless turbo-back, and a few random supporting mods like an oil cooler. I'm running a Kinugawa ball-bearing TF06/ G25-660 hybrid right now. Spools like the 20G, but makes power like the FP Green. I'd recommend one of those or a GTX3071 hybrid.
Glorious man! Just upgraded my Legacy GT with a 5EAT, although I don't think there is much I can modify on the tranny being that it is an '08?! I have an 18G, full exhaust, elh, supporting fuel mods, etc etc. Only have the base map right now waiting to get it tuned, but boy does it already pull! Cant imagine what it is like being in your car. Nice build!
Thanks! To my knowledge, there aren't any valvebody mods available for the revised 08+ 5EAT anymore, unfortunately. Though I would still recommend adding an auxiliary ATF cooler. I'm running a Hayden 676 on mine without a thermostat, plumbed in line after the stock in-radiator cooler. I'd also recommend running a synthetic ATF over the OE-spec Idemitsu HP fluid. I run Valvoline Maxlife with a bottle of Lubegard Red, and it works really well.
@@madwagon9775 Thanks for the reply. I have a Mishimoto external cooler. I never thought of using anything other than the HP fluid. I will definitely take that into consideration!
@madwagon97 how can i send you a message or a email i will be buying a trans go kit for my 05 lgt and had a couple easy questions. I follow all your videos.
Well I got my car tuned. Laid down 287HP/397TQ. Think I need to upgrade the torque converter and tranny. I love how she pulls when I overtake cars now. In the future I would like to pull the engine back out and stiffen up the internals and slap a bigger turbo on her. I think 400whp is the max of where I would want to be. People always say they want xxxHP yet have no idea what it means until they drive it.
@tradesauce-official Yeah, once my stock recirc balance started leaking, I just took it off and covered the hole. Never put another one back on. Thanks!
Glad to hear the gearbox is running good. I need someone in the UK to install that kit on my 5eat....
In an Outback at that. I have an OB XT and a Forester XT. Nice builds
Thanks!

I think you'll be happy with the Blue. It should fall somewhere between the 20G and the Green I was running, performance-wise.
good stuff!
Thing is ripping, I hate the little boost spike on shift with my 5eat.
I had the big td06 20g on a 205 @20psi and a ppg helical gearset

But the FP green is a TD06H turbo?
GOOD JOB!!
Kinda late to the party lol but i have an 08 wrx with a vf52 swap making 332whp and 360wtq idk if its cause of the transmission differences
Every dyno's different, as is every car. Dyno numbers aren't a very reliable way to compare different cars tuned on different dynos.
What injectors/fuel pump you running?

Hey man howd you get the stutter from tbe turbos? You jave a block plate on the Recirc valve? Good videos and great ride!

@@madwagon9775 nice man! Did you have to tune it after deleting the recirc? Thanks
@@tradesauce-official I removed it soon after the first time I had it tuned, and never had any issues. It's since been tuned without it a few times.
@@madwagon9775 ok awesome thanks ks again.. just picked up a 20g so let's see how it goes!
How much did you spend for 400whp?
About $3500 in mods and $500 for the tune.
Love the boost gauge. What brand is it?
It's a Wika industrial vacuum/ pressure gauge I got from McMaster-Carr. Not meant to be on a car at all, lol. But it's worked great for years.
@@madwagon9775 thanks for the response. Reminds me of an old school racecar I saw in best motoring that used an industrial gauge as a boost gauge. 👌
What state is this in
TN and FL
What engine?
V1 EJ255
93 octane or ethenol?
93 for all of them.
