I’ve been pretty obsessed with the Pointer Sisters lately & not sure why?! Maybe it’s the current state of music that’s bringing me to real talented artists. ❤❤❤❤

The current state of Music is 80s the weekend and Dua lipa says her new project will be heavy synthesizer
@@mattw4496These are Exceptional, Empowered, Beautiful and Talented Professional women, Miss this quality today!😊😅🎉😂❤
@@KB32000 Never heard of those groups
June Pointer was an absolute superstar. Her every performance was electric
Great concert... June was the spark that propelled the group. When June came back from her 'well deserved' extended leave, their music and popularity 'really' exploded. Rest in peace, June Pointer.
So true 👍👍🎶🌌❤️
Yes, I do agree she has such a presence
June pointer
June was my favorite
Just can’t pick a fav all so amazing and check out wang dang doodle with all four oh my
They need a biopic like now and a documentary
I would love to direct it.
I'm a screenwriter and I want to make this happen.
Most definitely
And Karyn White has to play June, she has the look and she can sing. That all I’ve been thinking about since I’ve been enjoying the pointer sisters all over again. ( check out karyns early work in the late 80’s to see if you agree.)
Let’s get them in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame first...
This needs to be remastered and released on DVD. Whoever is managing the sound is really on the ball. The clarity, balance and tonal quality is I think the best of any of their live performances we have, and of course the ladies were at the top of their vocal game here. Stellar performance.
The sound is on! you're right it sounds amazing.
You're so right! I also love their show from Paris '85
They killed hot together
June and. Bonnie and I used to party together she was my best friend she saved my life I am sober today because of June it’s to bad she couldn’t get it together out of me June and Bonnie I am the only one still alive today and sober I used to travel with June to different shows and gigs I was with June and Bonnie in Las Vegas at a venu June lost her voice by this time i was at June’s bedside when she was in the hospital due to the stroke and heart attack I was there the whole time until she died I miss her and love her so much there is a lot more to this story but I can’t share every detail somethings I don’t want to share Out respect for June all I can say is I can’t believe how bad we got
Sad story. Her last days must be hard for June. So talented. Unfortunately, drug addiction kills...Very sad.
Thank you for sharing. Absolutely adore the Pointer Sisters and June was as talented as it gets. That must have been so hard. For us the joy and love she gave to so many will live on in her music and that's how we will define her life. They had their struggles and dark moments but their music is still bringing joy to others and that's an amazing legacy.
I feel anger at her rapists, that had a huge influence on her descent into addiction.
Sounds real up close n' personal, yet something tragic for all that loved her energy? June's beautiful rockin' spirit got deep into many of us. And now Anita and Bonnie are gone. They were, shall we say, 'a very fine organic musical ensemble', way up at The Top. The recordings will endure, we hope. Shall we Trust?
Thank you for sharing this. Grateful she led you to soberity, and you stayed.
TO SAY THE POINTER SISTERS WERE AWESOME IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!!!!! THEIR SONGS AND SINGING WREAKED OF CLASS!!!!!!!! THEY CRANKED OUT SO MANY GOOD HITS. I ALWAYS SMILE WHEN I HEAR A POINTER SISTER SONG AND REMINISCE BACK TO THE ERA OF WHEN THEY WERE POPULAR!!!!!! ANITA POINTER ANOTHER GOOD ONE GONE. RIP......WITH THE SATISFACTION OF KNOWING YOU AND YOUR SISTERS ENTERTAINED THE WORLD.
Best Girl Group. They could do everything. Pop, Soul Country, Rock, R&B, Easy Listening. You name it !!
One of America's most beloved groups. Thank you for all the great songs.
Pointer sister still watching in 2019
I NEVER STOPPED!!!!!!!
I'm here listening
In 2020 ❤️❤️
Dear Pointer sisters this may sound like a fairytale hopefully we will get to make good music together in heaven I am so excited love love and more love thanks to Mr. Pointer and Mrs. Pointer the pointer sisters parents for having such beautiful and talented musicians children whom gave and shared so much beautiful music with the world thanks again but for now it's good to know that June and bonnie are reunited with their parents in heaven 🎼🎵🎹🎺
Ruth has one of my all time favorite female voices. So unique and powerful. ❤️
My favorite was Anita, but these ladies were so well vocally matched that picking the best voice is impossible.
Nobody can ‘riff’ like June. My favorite song on each album was always a June lead vocal. Love these ladies 💕
I totally agree with you... her vocals were amazing.
Rest in peace Anita Pointer! You'll be missed dear, along with your other sisters.
They had such a great connection with the audience. More than just great talented singing, they were funny, grateful, and very relatable to the audience. No diva complexes coming from them. Just pure fun!
Hello everyone I am from Oakland California I sometimes ride my bicycle around West Oakland CA where the pointer sisters are from and their parents were Ministers in the churches there anyhow my favorite music band is Depeche mode from the 80s but recently the pointer sisters are now my most recently musical band bless bless 🎼🌈
I love the pointer sisters this music. my eyes fill with tears, eternal nostalgia for these sisters, I m Brazilian and I didn t have the opportunity to watch the show. GOD BLESS THIS FAMILY.
THANK YOU LORD FOR EVERYTHING.

The best ladies group 80's
Best girl group ever. The energy and vocal harmonies they give are outstanding. June Anita and bonnie may have moved on but won’t ever be forgotten
Oh June
I miss you girl.
They don't make 'em like that anymore. God I miss those days...
This is so Beautiful might be the best girl group ever they all can really sing a blessing
You got that right buddy Best Girl Group EVER!!!!
Rest in paradise,💐Anita Pointer.😢💔 Thank you for your work that helped create our childhood soundtrack.💫🕊️🌹
I’m So Excited is still one of the most amazing and uplifting songs that I’ve ever heard. Thank you so very much! Rest in peace.🌹🕯️
I love them all. They were all great vocalists and very distinctive (including Bonnie). Ruth is my favorite!!!
All of these women were excellent lead singers. You got a lot for your ticket money with these three.I’ve been watching a lot of their performances. Never a bad note and the fashions! Truly trailblazers for women and especially black artists. All genres. Never felt any rivalry vibes.
Only Ruth is left, and she was the oldest 1946. R.I.P, June, Bonnie and now Anita this year 2022. Happy I was born in 1942, and was able to enjoy life in Chicago, until the crack addicts destroyed my city, Oak Park, and then Waukrgan. Happy I left at age 79 for a safer, and less expensive Queretaro, where the police do not play.
Happy i went to Mexico at 20, and have visited many Acapulco for over 60 years.
I love June and her voice and how she presents herself. RIP.
OMG!!! I was there for my 9th birthday. It was my first concert.😊
My word how lucky you were!
Perfection was and will always be these three ladies. Baby June is missed so much, and while she is watching from heaven, Anita your presence on stage is sorely missed. Wish you could come out of retirement. Your beauty is still shining. Ruth, you are keeping it going with two more generations, and we are grateful...Keep your beauty shining on that stage.. You ladies are forever loved..
@cvmbd , Anita's beauty is surpassed by no one. Exceptional doesn't begin to cover how gorgeous she really is. I've never been blessed to see the ladies in person, but just this pass Saturday May 2,2020, I was fortunate to speak to Anita & Bonnie on the phone. My feet may never touch the ground again. I'll never give up hope on meeting these amazing ladies in person, even if I have sell a vital organ..
@cvmbd , I found a whole new love for Bonnie after speaking to her on the phone. She gave me new hope of meeting her and Anita. I would also love to meet Ruth, but I'm at the age where I'll take whatever is possible. Bonnie was so much fun and I'll just keep praying...
@@orane3549 , I never did, but without a word from anyone , I did get my money back. I plan to try calling to ask if I should try again after things settle down. Bonnie's passing has really hit me hard and I worry about Anita. They were so close.
I wished I got the chance to see the pointer sisters perform growing up they are from my hometown Oakland Calif I heard their beautiful music and on the radio my favorite songs are slow hands and he's so shy I guessed I was too much into my favorite band depeche mode back in the 80s but now realized recently that the pointer sisters is my favorite band I can't believe I am saying that I never thought I would find another music band that I liked more so than depeche mode I still very much listen to depeche mode but I so much adore the pointer sisters for me the pointer sisters music will always have a place in my heart ps. June you and I are so much alike our personalities iam so excited that the pointer sisters my soul sisters from oak town Oakland Calif I love y'all bless bless eternity 🎼🎵🎹🎺
June was magic!
Greatest of the Greatest!!! I miss June so so very much!!! Gone too soon but never forgotten!!! GOD Bless the Dear Pointer Family!! Grew up with their
Phenomenal Talent!!! Right up there with Elvis and Michael!!! Love, Lesa🙏🏻😇🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m in tears because I’m never be able to see the REAL pointer sisters live, all together! These women (including Bonnie) are/were a blessing!
They sound great...they look great...But June in that red dress...💕💕💕
They were the first concert I ever went to in 1982.
Watching this performance always makes me happy. There is so much more cheer in the world because of the Pointer Sisters. I am so glad (so excited?) their performances are being digitized and preserved to bless the generations to come.
Yeah, Pointers are The TOP. Shout it Out!!! Do it Again.
I LOVE THIS MUSIC I NEED YOU , SISTER POINTERS MORE JUNE IN THE VOICE OF PERFECT MEMORY , PLEASE THE LIRICS THANK YOU VERY MUCH
A few weeks ago, I went to the Hollywood Museum to see the Pointer Sisters exhibit. So much history displayed of their fabulous career! So fun to remember everything from their music to their fun and unique costumes. The energy in their performances was so fun to witness each and every time. The knew how to entertain! I can only hope Anita's wish to perform at the Hollywood Bowl for their 50th comes true.
Thank you for posting this!
My dream
It sounded to me like Anita's wish to perform at the Hollywood Bowl had a lot to do with Bonnie being in the mix. Watch her interview on here with Billy Masters, April of this year I think. Sounded to me like she hasn't had much contact with Ruth after Ruth took the title of Anita's song and used it for her book, without asking.
June at her best moment ❤️
The most gorgeous they ever looked!!
They gave great live shows!
Love the banter between Ruth and Anita. Ruth was born in front of Anita... too funny
@cvmbd , I know that. Everyone has some they favor more. But, it was the that little fake argument that was funny to me..
I will jump for your love anytime June your energy is amazing coming straight from downtown Oakland Calif 🎼🎵🎵🎺
16:30 hilarious😂😃😄
Fab voices…JUNES was outstanding…but they all added that POINTER SISTERS spark that made em one of the greatest Vocal Girl Groups of all time!! 🔥💯❤️ wonderful performers
Sadly missed…they don’t have music or groups close to this today 2023…..nothing comes close
11:16 is what I was waiting for😭❕❕❕❕Automatic
30:44 - This particular live performance of “Dare Me” has always been my favourite. ♥️ They sang it a bit differently from most live versions I’ve seen (especially at the part where they sang “touch me one more time”). 😍 June sounded so great singing lead. And I can hear Ruth and Anita loud and clear too, without them overpowering the lead vocals. 💕
I love when June sing oh you can touch me one more time”☺️
@@PS-Archive. me too!! This is really my absolute favourite live performance of “Dare Me”.
This was one hell of a a$$ kickin" show - Great tunes - great band - great choreographics - Bless them Pointers sisters
My fave two favorite Pointer Sister songs back to back! Automatic and I Need You. Those girls could sing! June had something in that voice though! I cant put my finger on it but it was different than her sisters. I'm sorry that June carried a lot of pain with her throughout her life. Im reading Ruth's book and wish June could have gotten the help she deserved and needed.
Let's remember the good things about them.
@@sneakerzoutkastz8596Let's not try to control what others want to post (within reason, of course). That said, we're not here because these artists always led exemplary lives. We're here for the music.
Really amazing entertainers. They dont make like that anymore Beautiful spirits❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
They were and still are the BEST!
Thanks for posting this great show...AND it's recorded in stereo, not a cell phone for a change! The ladies were so talented they could do country, swing, soul, dance, pop, funk, rock, and jazz so effortlessly on their albums you never knew what to expect. They knew and worked with all the best musicians live and in studio. Truly an American institution to savor for all time.
Well its from late 80's lol
still watching and loving it in 2021
Thank you, Paul for sharing all of this with us.
Yes, This Paul is our Tru_Blue anointed Keeper of The Pointers. Show some Respect!
The sisters killed it! Well deserved standing ovation :)
What an amazing concert! These ladies are beyond talented. So glad I got to watch this on CZcams. A massive thanks to Paul for uploading the tape. 😁
Anita is so beautiful
Most Definitely 😍💜
@cvmbd June was beautiful as well. Out of the 4 sisters... June was the best dancer, had the most versatile and best vocals. Rest in peace, June Pointer.

When I was 18, what I wouldn't give to have been at such an awesome performance. Thanks for sharing!
They are wonderful and talented the real deal!!!
man, the neutron dance is wildly fast
I remember this year well. As a young guy I used to work the Muscular Dystrophy telethons on occasion in honor of my cousin who had it. I remember how people were so excited to hear that the Pointer Sisters were going to be taped and one of their songs was going to be a part of the telethon. That year the Telethon broke the record for giving with an astounding 42.1 million in donations. From meeting the troops to so many other things, the Pointer Sisters touched so many lives and are still doing so with their amazing music. Boy are they and the 80's vibe missed. We didn't want to hurt each other, just wanted to dance and have a good time.
Worth every penny!
This is incredible!
Amazing. Thanks so much. Next to the Paris concert in 1985 this is the best ever.
Please forgive me forgetting Dearest Bonnie too !! ! Praying for our precious Pointer Family!!! Love, In Christ Wholly Name! Lesa❤️❤️🙏🏻😇😇😇😇😇❤️

Great artists!!!
My girl Ruth looks unbelievable... gorgeous
Ruth At 9:25 Yeahhhhh! 🔥🔥
Love The Pointers Sisters!
RIP June And Bonnie Pointer
You're Truly Missed!💫🙏🏾💫
I love them and missed them. They are the best. Beautiful, classy and sexy sisters.
Paul C - you're awesome! What a great show! Had never seen them sing "Respect Yourself" live before. Loved the whole thing.
Thanks! Happy to share!!
Best, awesome to me Automatic
Thank you for posting this. Such talent has not been seen in years. They sang live and sounded every bit as good as their recordings.
