These two are so funny together holy shit. The way Mcconnel can at times be so happy for Asmon after beating a boss then right before that, laugh at his deaths so hard, is magic.

McConnell is such an incredible antagonist for this playthrough. He only helps to try and keep Asmongold from quitting, but then switches to actively trying to undermine him the rest of the time. It's like, you know it's a show but you can't help but get into it. Between Asmongold's hard-headed stubbornness and McConnell's sociopathic need to keep Asmon playing and suffering, it's entertainment gold.

He maybe watched some guides before this one but I don´t care, it´s amazing how much he improved. Not just his gameplay but his attitude and aproach to how Dark Souls are played. I hated his stubborn cockines. Really enjoyed this VOD.
You can tell he really didn't give a shit in the first 2 vods, probably wasnt expecting to enjoy or finish the game. But in this one, you can tell he really wants to learn and keep playing. He even says at one point he's really starting to enjoy the game, which is awesome to hear for anyone who likes these games. Makes the vods much more enjoyable.
Its hilarious how people consider certain things spoilers, such as the guy telling amon that the game goings into NG + after killing the last boss.

Im currently playing through this for the first time. After binging this entire playthrough and seeing how easy the last boss is with armor. I started(after Capra demon) to beat every boss without armor. These two were a headache but the “Amazing Chest Ahead” feels that much better now😂

Damn Asmon really figured out that the gargoyles tail does damage too no matter what attack they use. This is new to me I always cut it off, I often wondered how I was taking damage from them sometimes that makes sense

Even though this stream is super old, I was playing Asmon's attempts as I was also attempting O&S to keep myself comfort. Luckily I beat him not too long after he did so I didn't suffer for an extremely long time. Definitely the hardest boss so far, not sure what to expect next..
I don’t wanna spoil anything, but for me the DLC bosses are the hardest in the game easily.

Ornstein and Smough was definitely one of the hardest bosses in any souls game.
It's all about your build, heavy melee defense and a high str weapon makes this an easy fight, but with any other build you'll be pot-shotting and duking in and out of range just like Asmon. I did the same exact thing with my playthrough (Cleric) and it really sucked

Watched the entire DS3 playthrough, now watching this one. Very entertaining, but slightly annoyed by Mc Connell saying " Kill him dude " or something along those lines, at every single NPC he meets so far. A bit of trolling , ok, but purposely trying to mess up his quest lines, no, I don't think there's a need for that.
Besides from that, Mc Connell has an infectious laugh so, I guess I can forgive him 🙌

Honestly, what does it fucking matter if he gets help or not? First of all he's a streamer and nobody wants to watch someone that's stuck and dies constantly for hours on end with no progress being made. Secondly, I know more than half of you looked up the dam answers on google atleast once when you couldn't figure out where to go after an hour. Sure, I get not telling him many things but it comes to a point where it is too fucking much. Who cares if someone gives advice on fundamentals at the very least? And if he is stuck for an hour or more figuring out which way to go then its reasonable to help out then too.

The only time I've one-shotted O&S was when I was drunk. (Strength build with +10 Great Club.) I was running around, swinging blindly and giggling stupidly. (Me and my friends played the game from the beginning to the end in one sitting taking turns and getting wasted while at it.)

Asmon complaining about (what he didn't know was) the input buffer and the chat flaming him was really annoying because if you don't even know the buffer exists it really does seem like random inputs are going in
I think the one time so far that McConnel actually pissed me off was when he was encouraging Asmon to use the Firekeeper Soul. Because that that point you are trying to actively make his experience worse or the game harder in the long run. But this was ok.
The thing about O&S is that they only look intimidating, they're not actually hard. You can dodge all of their attacks, and hit Ornstein when he's wide open. It takes some practice but doing a flawless run of that boss is possible.

I was lucky that I got black knight greatsword early and I made it my goal to level up the stats to be wielding it.I leveled it up to +3 or 4 I destroyed them second try.
