i agree that Sheung Wan is one of the most interesting places to have a photowalk, certainly more so than Shum Shui Po or Mongkok. If you have the time to plan ahead, you could still make pictures that looked like they were taken 40 years ago. That 7-11 temple would be a great example.

To me, your idea of Sheung Wan is what I consider to be Central. The Mid Level Escalator is certainly Central.

Loved Sheung Wan (well I loved Hong Kong in general but Sheung Wan and The Mid Levels in particular).
I've only stayed a few days each time on some of my trips to Japan but now planning a dedicated trip to spend a week or two just in Hong Kong. Maybe get a chance to go to some of the smaller islands, maybe even a couple of days in Macau.

It looks hard enough you to take pics and film at the same time :D would be really cool to just see you filming the same you are trying to take pictures of. just focusing in the moment and forget still image. let the motion do it work. kind of like cinematic street footage of some location. or something else. who knows...

Around June to September is the summer and rainy season; January is my personal favourite, around 12°C with a lot of sunny days

Haha...Lok, I think you mean the instant noodles + tomato sauce is good and therefore comfort food. You wouldn't eat it if it were bad, and if it were bad it wouldn't be comfort food. I think you mean that many people won't believe it's good because it's not expensive, or gourmet, or fancy and in that regard they may be wrong!!
Haha may be this explain it better: it got popular at a point, so people went there with high hope; but after all it's just some very simple food, and the familiar friendly environment which totally changed after it got popular. But it's all good now cause the trend had gone and it had since back to its original peaceful food stall.

I do but I adjust a lot of them in post haha. Once I moved to raw I always use auto white balance
