It is quite annoying. Weirdly I find myself having slightly more sympathy for her as I get older. She's completely un self aware, and it makes her seem arrogant, but she does save the day in quite a few episodes, especially the really early ones. I guess they evolved her character in the later ones to make her a bit of a hate figure.
