Except his rotations seem fairly long, so you may only get the passive up a third of the time. It's a good crit stat-stick though

I got the ballad of the fjords for my cyno, I think it'll help a lot for his teams since he usually has at least 3 different elemental types in his party

I still haven't started building him but I'm preparing some stuff for him, pre farmed lots of talent materials for him all I need is to grind his boss and after that, I go in the artifacts rabbit hole

I would like to say that since Cyno is used mostly in quickbloom, you need 3 elements by default, so that polearm sounds incredible on him
I don't think Cyno is designed for nor used in hyperbloom teams

@@blastzd When not on the field for more than 5s, Max HP will be increased by 32% and Elemental Mastery will be increased by 40. These effects will be canceled after the wielder has been on the field for 10s. (This very much encourages off fielding not on field)

i must say the spear is perfect on cyno! since his best team comp is a quickbloom team, that immediately uses three different elements (electro, dendro, hydro) and the 240 em on r5 is just massive for higher hyperbloom damage as well as for aggravates. also, that high crit rate is so valuable. if you cant get his signature weapon, i must say this is the next best option for him
Planning on getting the fjords next just for cyno, I don't think I'll go after his spear anytime soon so I'll settle for the next best option, plus it just looks really cool
wolf fang is best 4 star for al haitham, as his mirrors are elemental skills damage, however harbinger of dawn is still better and passive can be constantly up with kuki as they're good synergies
Wolf fang sounds amazing for sub dps layla, and the lenney bow fo4 childe(his melee charge atk counts)
Me hoping for a sub-DPS unit in Fontaine (because there are sooo many MAIN DPS's in this game! I want more team variety) So I'm making the Wolf Fang my second choice for the BP weapon next month. So far we only know Clorande is a sword user and Navia is a Claymore user. Wriothesley giving Heizou vibes (brawler) so catalyst??? So What are you Furina.... what's your deal with HP drain/heal of your nation. *stares*
It's a pretty meh sub-dps weapon since it doesn't stack off field
@@someonesomewhere8658 Pretty meh, but it's one of her better options for sub-dps just for the E and Q damage bonus. You can still cope with getting 1 stack on E and Q if you use Q before E, with E hitting on cast.
Wolf fang sounds great for Alhaitham
I got the sacrificial jade for Baizhu and I'll probably put amber on Neuvilette. The next weapon I'll get is either the sword or polearm 😊
Thoma could use the spear too in burgeon teams (instead of dragons bane or an ER spear)
Despite the currently wasted effect I’m picking the catalyst cause I love using them then next month i will consider picking the pole arm for it’s great east effect.

With how restrictive the new battle pass weapons are, it really seems that those weapons may be made specifically for future characters. Will most likely increase value later on, I guess for now some of the older ones may be better for now characters though. I'm excited to see which new characters will suit the new battle pass weapons!
I chose the sword for my Ayaka, she’s been on Amenoma since I couldn’t get her signature the 2x I tried since her initial release and a rerun. Her burst does deal a ton of damage and hits multiple times, so… yeah. Could also be good for Xingqiu I guess, if you can build enough recharge to where he doesn’t need to use his skill twice to get it again after CD.
wouldnt she overcap on crit though? you get 40 from blizzard, 15 from double cryo (which you should use for battery anyways), for 55 + base 5. this gives 27.6cr + 8% at max stacks, for a grand total of 95.6cr. good luck not getting a single crit rate substat, lest you overcrit
Use the fontaine crafted sword, that one is more suitable for ayaka, you just need to bring kokomi along side
My future Focalors will be slapping for 102% E damage when I R5 my wolf-fang on her, just hit R2 today & it's already equivalent to a 2/2 golden troupe/noblesse set, plus the crit stacking. Using on my C6 Kaeya at the moment & no issues stacking crit especially with Chongyun or Shenhe to buff Kaeya's on-field viability.
I did go for the Ballad spear thingy because I want to use Cyno and didn't have a good spear with Crit for him and the extra EM for the attacks and reactions really go well with him.
I failed 50/50 for Lyney, fortunately Tighnari c2 (I like him) but spared to choose weapon until I got Lyney suprisely from a single pull (12 from 50/50). The bow is so good on him, I recommend if you can't get his 5 star one.
Is the wolf fang not good for alhathem? Cause you said theres better options for keqing and ayaka, and alhaithem has relatively the same kit as keqing but from my understanding the wolf fangs buff to elemental skill and burst should be great for them

I chose Serpent Spine because it is not at R5 yet. Anyway, I think the new BP weapons are more restrictive than the old ones.
One thing that needs to be noted is that Wolf Fang crit passive wont stack off-field. So it doesnt work as well on Kaeya or Xingqiu
They should have put that in the description, makes the sword pretty meh imo
Wait...seriously? That's quite frustrating considering I picked it specifically with Xingqiu in mind. I guess I should have assumed that was the case since it doesn't state that it doesn't trigger while off field but still annoying.
That said if you burst before using your skill it should be relatively easy to weave in normal attack a couple times to stack up the passive very quickly if you need to. At R5 even just 2 normal attacks should get you 8 crit rate if not the full 16 depending on if the exact timing of how fast the burst hits hit. Considering imo the main selling point is the 32% burst damage increase that's not too bad at all still. At r5 with the passive you're looking at more crit rate than Primordial Jade Cutter with an extra 32% burst damage trading off compared to ~300 attack. Not entirely sure that works out in favor of the Wolf Fang but it's a damn good option at the very least when you consider comparing a 4 star BP weapon vs a premium 5 star weapon banner weapon. The 32% skill damage is also not nothing considering how hard Xingqiu's E can hit.
Edit- It's 0.5% less crit rate altogether vs PJC, not more. My bad.
@@someonesomewhere8658 Depends on the timing of stacks compared to Xingqiu's burst hits imo. If the 0.1 seconds is enough that you can get 2 stacks per burst wave it's fairly easy to weave in 2 normal attacks after activating his burst and then using his skill (n1 > skill > n1 > swap). IF you somehow get all 4 stacks from a single wave of hits (with c6) that'd be even more insane but I think that'd be too fast.
Even then the big value is honestly the flat 36% burst damage bonus at R5, even without the full crit rate from the passive. There's no alternative option for a weapon that stacks raw bonus DMG% as far as I'm aware, let alone that much with no trigger requirements and with a crit rate main stat. With the full passive you're also looking at more crit rate than Primordial Jade Cutter which is largely just a crit rate stat stick by comparison, though you do lose 2-300 attack in that comparison too due to the bonus HP to attack conversion.

I personally got new sword for Keqing, bc she is not auto-attacking, but doing E and Q combo most of the times in my Aggravate team

I actually get scion of blazing for tignari firstly because it's looks cool on him and also he's the only one that can easily capitalize fully the 10s heartsearer effect while ganyu&lyney charge shot is too slow to use the effect fully.

I grabbed the Wolf Fang for Vape DPS Nilou.
The Lance should be fantastic for Hu Tao in a Hu Tao / Zhongli / Xingqiu / Yelan team if you don't have Homa. Though I'm not 100% sure if it's better than just running Dragon's Bane R5, particularly as it'll take 5 versions to get R5.
The 1h sword seems designed to be absolutely insane for Xingqiu as well, assuming you can get enough energy for him without needing an ER% weapon. I picked it up with that in mind on my Hu Tao team with C1+ Yelan able to double skill to help lower Xingqiu's energy requirements. That said I haven't personally done the math yet to see if it's worthwhile compared to just running Sac Sword and lowering your ER% elsewhere as much as possible to optimize your crit stats elsewhere.
No, if you have R5 Dragon's bane vs R5 new Bp lance. In paper Bp lance is more consistent because of crit substat. But remember that Dragon's bane increases damage affected by pyro or hydro by 36% and 200+ em that is huge for hu tao vape. I guess that sword for xingqui is OP tho.

Moga, bloom doesn't self apply dendro. It does dendro damage, but that's different from being applied with it.
Also, Serpent Spine is simply better, so no to the weapon.
Yeah, that claymore really only has one thing going for it: It's something other than a sword. Finally something besides the Debate Club. But for the rest, high base attack, low crit is meh. And the whole infused mechanic is also meh, right down to the "it's going to be weaker for Benny's teammates" bit.
Still will be the 3rd weapon I get, after the sword and catalyst, because of the club factor.

I took the spear for Hu Tao, because I gave Homa to Xiao, since he lost quite a bit of his oomph with the general DMG nerve in 3.6. And, of course, she and Homa will be in the next banner. I'll take the catalyst next time and I think I'll put it on Baizhu.

@@steggven936 that's what I have on her now, but the new spear on R5 actually has more EM and also crit rate. But I'll go for another homa anyway, so I won’t bring the new spear to r5 right now.
The Ballad of the Fjords is cracked Hu Tao. At R5 it's almost on-par with r1 Homa and since it gives crit rate AND em it's super easy to build around. Only thing is it's grey and blue which don't really fit her so I'll personally be wishing on Homa next time to complete my favorite character uwu, but for players who don't spend aside from welkin and BP it's a great alternative

I chose the spear as My death match is r5 and in high demand since my only other dps polar is vortex vanquisher (its Xaio's and I got it getting hunters path) I have like 3 Favs but it's not really a great option for your dps pole arm users like Cyno, especially when you have a hard time getting crit on artifacts.

I got scion because i lost my 50/50 to Tignari. It sounds better than slingshot on paper. Whatever it was either that or wolf fang or the jade. I got lost prayers for Monsieur Neuvillete he can make due
Wolf fang on Al haitham works very well, and the sac jade works great with on field baizhu, the HP helps both his shield and healing, while the em increases his spread DMG. I currently use the sac jade on baizhu and for me it's been a very nice addition.
baizhu doesnt do dmg, its wasted on him
@@blastzd My baizhu does a decent amount on the teams i run him on and with how I build him in said teams, makes them very comfortable to play too, and in that scenario he's making great use out of all three stats so for me it's not really a waste.

@@blastzd again I've been actively using it and hes doing solid dmg while both healing and shielding, it makes the team very comfortable and it takes advantage of all three stats, I'm not saying it's Optimal or anything but if you want to play him on field it works very well

The passive on the sword does not proc off-field, making it not great for albedo. Harbinger is still stronger.

I picked Sacrificial Jade for Neuvillette since I got guarantee. What make me kinda surprise is that the level up material is actually not from Fontaine. Which is good because I have a lot of spare material.

It's a Liyue weapon after all. Its ascended form matches that perfectly of Baizhu's color scheme (who is kinda Jade-themed with his little snake trinket and such)
