Plup making Ginger look like a netplay Falco.
Literally, played sheik like a tas
Hahahahaha
ginger a good example of the line between top top 5 and top 10. hes so good but against plup, he just looks scrubby. insane. plup just 2 gud.
@@jpetrullo6890 he’s saying the skill disparity from top 5, to top 6-10 is noticeable is all
@@jpetrullo6890 really? I mean I’m not listing this in any particularly order
Mango, leffen?, zain, IBDW, sfat, wizzy, s2j, amsa? Axe, ginger, hgod, plup, kodorin
If he’s not top ten I think he’s damn close to it imo. Wouldn’t put him past top 15, even low side of the 10-15 slots I think would be pretty wild to rank.
May be forgetting someone though. Axe amsa and leffen are a bit of outliers right now due to lack of much seen, they obviously have the potential to be top 10, or have been. But when I think of the top players active right now and if I had to make a list I’d definitely put ginger in there.
Mango
Zain
Ibdw
Leffen
Plup
Wizzy
Hgod
Sfat
S2j
Ginger
Would probably be my top ten, in some order
Dude's getting so wrapped up in little details that the point was completely missed.
seemed like every time ging even thought about coming down with dair he got up air'd. plup had his number on those
Ginger played into Plup's game for the first two. Cross-up close to ledge, lose center, get gimped off stage. He netplay Falco'd like he didn't know the MU.
Game three was pretty good. Better stage control, but needs more mix-up in neutral. Different timing in approaches, and he was afraid to cross-up in "safe" positions and overshoot because of the first two games, so Plup just whiff punished a lot. Ginger commanded the stage, just second-guessed his edgeguards.
Game four had some good mix-ups on his spacing, but he just seemed to go "Brrrrr" on his approaches. Full hop, delay movement in the air, fast fall dair. Thats why he kept trading with Plup's up airs. He gave Plup an easy read on his gameplan. Plup just out-played him in this game with little to no cheese. Really impressive display.
All in all, I feel like Ginger wasn't utilizing all of his tools for the majority of the set. He could do more to change up his attack timings and bait Plup out in the same way that Plup was baiting him.
You could see how tired he was on the player cam, and I think he could have done better in this state if he defaulted to his fundamentals instead of defaulting to his Falco anti-fastfaller bread and butter.
Great set to watch. Plup really showcased Sheik's strengths at a top level and gave me some ideas to add to my own gameplan. It doesn't look like he had to adapt too much in neutral. He played platforms and stage positioning the right way and got the W for it with better fundamentals.
Skill gaps in this game is crazy
I'm glad to be born at a time to witness all of these games.
Destruction
