- The Georgia Bulldogs are going back to the Peach State with some new hardware from the Orange Bowl, but not everyone is happy about the blowout of a game.
No matter the outcome, football goes beyond the field - it's the love fans pour into their favorite team.
“If we would’ve played in the National Championship” 😂😂 Georgia can use that same soft excuse. Georgia is a team. FSU is just some individuals focused on themselves.
Too bad FSU players didn't support the team.
FSU stated that they were not going to play in the Orange Bowl. At that point, the FSU players should not be blamed for making other plans, including entering the portal. I don't know why so many people are in pretend mode as if FSU did not originally accept the invite.....wtf usa.

They really do need to shift the timing of the portal to after post season. It's even affecting teams in the playoffs. Look at Texas for example, if Ewers somehow gets hurt again then Texas has to go to a freshman QB with zero experience, Arch Manning b/c Malik Murphy who stepped in this year when Ewers got hurt transferred out.
This just shows the FSU players knew they couldn't beat Georgia so they run out.

The ncaa should create a committee and selection process that is transparent. Those kids went undefeated and won a power 5 conference and were told they weren’t good enough. At that point I imagine they decided they were done. I don’t fault them for their choices.

You can say that now that JT is injured and not got punished for that. The whole country knew how domenant FSU was against LSU and showed them why the SEC is overated. Yes, the SEC is the best, but its not some Superhero confrence people make it to be. The ACC has a winning record vs the SEC. Georgia beat us with depth. their 3rd stringers are more talented but our starters are equal in terms of talent.

As a Georgia fan I’m saddened that FSU didn’t show up to play. We gave them the chance to play an arguably #1 team, show what they are really made of and stick it the face of this “committee”. We all know FSU is much better than what we saw Saturday.

I predicted Georgia would put up 60 plus. I'm a Noles fan since before Bowden. Anyone picking the Noles to win is deluded beyond reason. Their entire starting team was gone. Even with all their starters and Travis, Georgia could have beat them badly. To much size, speed, power and experience. Not to mention a bench loaded with 4 and 5 star kids. I love the fact FSU put up 3 points. I had doubts they could get into Ga territory without a takeaway.
I've been a UGA fan for a lot of years and I've always liked and respected Florida St. I've always loved and respected Bobby Bowden. Look if Florida St. had their full team playing out there last night, yes even with Jordan Travis, anybody with half a brain knows that the score would have been different, maybe not a win, but I'm not sure if UGA could have beat Florida St if they fielded the team they started the year with. They had a great season, I understand why their fan base and team would be upset about not making the playoffs. As a UGA fan I'm kind of bummed out that UGA didn't make it either.

After crying for a month about being left out of the playoff, FSU had two options. Show the committee they got it wrong and come out and play Georgia straight up or hide like cowards. They claimed for a month that their team was more than just one man, the Travis injury means nothing, it's just an excuse to keep us out. What they did by sitting out, getting absolutely curb stomped in doing so, is vindicate the committee's stance that missing players matter. Don't use the excuse that the game meant nothing, because by that logic, every player, on every team, should just sit out once their team loses two games and is no longer in contention for the championship. What conference in their right mind would want these crybabies right now? What you saw in that game was a culture of winning, pride in their school and fans in Georgia, verses a team in FSU that gave the ultimate FU to their coach, school and fans. I hope it's years before anyone invites them to another bowl. The largest blowout in bowl game history should have the names of all those quitters on it.
If they felt the gane was meaningless, they should've boycotted the game and simply not shown up. Refunding fans their ticket.

For this kind of effort, I'm glad they weren't chosen for the College Football Playoffs. If this would've happened in the playoffs, Florida St. would've been laughed out. This was their chance to show the world that it was a mistake to leave them out, but they failed miserably. If they weren't even gonna show up, couldn't they tell the committee. So another team can play Georgia and put on a real bowl game. Cause I stopped watching half way through the 2nd quarter. I feel sorry all the Florida St. fans who spent all that money to attend the game and anybody who thought this was gonna be a good game. They should really find a way to deal with stuff like this, cause all this does is ruin the hype that surrounds the College Football bowl games.

How can you take that bowl game seriously when pretty much all of FSU's starters opted not to play?! Bowl season anymore is a joke unless your in the CFP.
That's why they need guidelines for transferring & NIL that require players to play a full season unless they're injured, concussed or deathly ill. If players opt out for any other reason, their contract $$$ or part of it should be voided. Just like coaches & Schools get bowl incentives for bonuses. Athletes should get it too for showing up. As of right now its a free-for-all circus with a 63-3 score game as the main event. They don't do something soon, we'll see many more games like this.

Winning games over quality programs does matter apparently. Especially if you have at least three wins over top 20 opponents then it shows your program can compete against against other top teams. But maybe I'm wrong.

If I'm a expected to go in the top two rounds of the draft, I'm not playing in a game that is not for any type of Championship. Two much to risk at this point. Yes you can get injured in any game, but, if I have made it this far and have not had any significant injuries, there is two much money on the line to risk it in a meaningless game. Call me selfish, 95 percent of most people would do the same thing with half a brain.
