Bro dialed it back by scoring 38😂
Right? Such a Kobe thing. "I will dial it back by 2 points, and that's it" 😂
Bro I’m getting a dunk idc
@@denzelmitchell2600on Gawd 🤣😂🤣
That a good story, but I just looked at the box score of that game against clippers in 03, he scored 32.
I believe in the story about Phil telling him that however.
@@nicolasguillot1601he said 38 or something like that. He was 6 points off. Chill
This makes me think of countless stories we won’t ever get to hear. Damn RIP to a legend
Yea instead we get stories from Shaq who heavily embellishes or outright lies to hype a story up. Not the biggest Kobe fan but loved hearing him talk about the game.
You ain’t lyin RIP to the goat
Y’all don’t care about what he did to someone’s daughter?
Damn…
Yes made me so sad we’ll never get to hear the legendary stories he would of told at his hall of fame speech would of been the best one
Hearing Shaq now talk about how he didn’t need to work hard because he had a kid that could get him 40, proves Phil was right.

Not a good look either way. Kobe said they would have won many more championships had Shaq not been so lazy.
@@RealSerie26 that is true tho Shaq was still young at that time imagine I he stayed working out and being dominate and less party. Shaq and kobe would of been top 1 always . 😂 you know it was real when you need big men's to foul you and don't know how to play .
i like that phil didnt have to finesse kobe - just told him straight up, we need the big man for the playoffs so we gotta get him engaged now. that's how you respect someone's intelligence.
Not true why won’t y’all watch actually sit downs
Philly told Kobe stop because SHAQ is a big cry baby and u know he will cry to front office
Kobe SHUDA told the story 100 cause phill don’t hold no tongue he speaks his mind he the goat he is phill

Why did the lakers choose Kobe over SHAQ?
That’s a real question
Because of SHAQ wasn’t a cry baby then the offense wuda flowed thru Kobe.
SHAQ was a very big cry baby diva like lebron is today
That’s not a man trait that’s a diva trait and soon after lakers got his aaa up outta there
Guess lakers wasn’t idiots after all

Yeah, but boosting his teammates confidence after returning from injury is just as important. Phil knew it, Kobe learned it, Shaq respected it.

Shaq was mentally one of the biggest narcissist the game has ever seen. Like a little girl mentally. All the while he never gave 100% never tried to get better. At least now he realizes it. So soft mentally. Oh you don't love me Orlando? I'm out! Oh you don't live me LA? I'm out. Ridiculous for an adult to act that way.
they won 3 straight without ever finding the best Balance of Shaq n Kobe
They found it against the Pacers but that was with Shaq fouling out and Kobe taking over. Lol

They did find it lol
2001 was the perfect balance
The 2001 Playoffs where they went 15-1. That was the most balanced of Kobe and Shaq.

You can’t forget LeBron
It’s reasons like this that he could still be leading the score in most points ever shot. He’s told the story of how he was benched his first 3 years in the NBA and could have made a lot more points and it still pissed him off even in retirement that they did that to him back then. And with stuff like this, where he could have continued a streak and still had those numbers way up, higher than Bron even. What would his true numbers have been if ppl didn’t damper his shine??
Will miss little inside secrets like this. RIP Kob❤
He wasn't better than Eddie Jones...you damn fangeek
That's like LeBron being a known pass-first, make the correct basketball play type of guy for his career...and IS STILL the all-time leading scorer and fastest to every 1k milestone. Imagine if LeBron only focused on scoring 😮 every season every game 😅
Thank you Kobe. I didn’t understand the Kobe mentality until now. Meaning- I’m questioning myself and the path I should take. However, I’m going to give up the healthcare field and chase my dreams and dominate this shit. I’m not asking for likes but I want us all to fight for our dreams no matter how insecure or nervous we might be. We all will die someday but can you say you fought for what you love? That’s the Kobe mentality.
Exactly. Good luck to you
I feel everything happened for a reason. In the end both realized their egos cost them more chips. Both also proved they could do it on their own, one without the other. Despite the drama, What a dynasty Phil built in LA. How I miss those Lakers. What an amazing era for the Purple and Gold.
Wow. I never knew This. Furthermore shows his Greatness ..and His Character. Appreciate the post . Salute and R.I.P Kobe

As dominant as Shaq I have never heard a positive story from one of his teammate

Hate to be that guy but I looked it up and this shit straight 🧢 Kobe scored 32 points in that game, not 38. Also didn’t assist Shaq anywhere in the fourth quarter.

I wish Bron had a coach the caliber of Phil. Phil Jackson really knew how to deal with egos
Whilst I don't think LeBron's the GOAT - I think it's very important to note he never had a Phil Jackson, Red Auerbach or Greg Popovich coaching him
Great comment 👍🏻
In Miami Bron had Spoelstra as head coach and pat riley as GM. He begged Pat to fire Spo and coach again but was rejected. Brons ego was managed then because he couldnt be the LeGM he has been ever since he left Miami. I cant blame him for wanting that control based on how his first stint in Cleveland wasted so much of his talent.
LeBron's ego is probably the largest, so there's no guarantee he would've had greater success than he's had.
He's played alongside some of the greatest talent & hus coaches were all great in their own right. Erik Spoelstra especially has proven to be an outstanding coach & one of the greatest to ever coach in the NBA.
LeBron made a personal decision to leave Miami & had many other opportunities to play for someone like Coach Pop.
@@atlien1988I love how u Said he had the opportunity to get someone like Pop, but if he would have y'all would discredit him got going to get a good coach lmao. Also this shit of Bron trying to get Spo fired is so out of pocket. Talk about how MJ quit the game because his front office made moves he didn't like.
Bron is uncoachable dawg 😂 Best coach he ever had was Spoelstra and wanted him gone after like a season. Good thing they didn’t listen. He needs to be the coach, GM, and talent scout to be happy 💀 Darvin Ham is just a puppet.

Always has been. Don't you see how insecure and sensitive he is whenever someone slightly criticizes him? When Kobe said Shaq could have been the goat if he just worked harder, instead of simply saying "you know what, Kobe is right, I did not put forth 100% effort every time out", Shaq had to say something back at Kobe. Whenever Barkley teases him, he always has to take things personally, get angry, and then tell Barkley "you don't have any rings".

That’s that Beast Mode Malcom Butler tote politics right there
Phil was a mad psychologist. I also heard he'd never yell at Kobe like the other players, including Shaq, because he needed Kobe to stay in attack mode. The mental approach of Phil Jackson was just crazy.
I mean it's true. Even if in pickup, there's that one guy that's a really good player, and a ball hog to be honest. And after he doesn't pass you the ball the whole 20-30 minutes, you get disinterested. Imagine 4-5 of those games a night, then multiply that by 82. Pay the big man off.
That's called not being a teammate. You try to insult Kobe by calling it ball hogging. But they are winning games and not one teammate other than Shaq is complaining. Without Kobe shaq doesn't win. Remeber that
