As an independent filmmaker I understand gear and equipment can be expensive so I like to let people know what I use when making these videos. Currently, the Canon EOS M50 is my main camera. You walk outside with a knife in your hand, ready to confront the figure you saw standing outside on the sidewalk. WoW! Talk about bravery to do this. When you go outside, that figure is nowhere to be seen and go back inside. As soon as you enter and close the door, you see something disappear into the hallway. Remember it is dark outside and you go after it down the hallway, to see where it went. What? Are you insane? Are you taking bravery to another level? I wanted to scream and say "Go back outside and run to a neighbour's house and call for H-E-L-P❗❗".
Sorry, when you do something so crazy like that, then the monster or ghost or witch or the thingamajig deserves to get you, my dear.

The scene in the kitchen and the following one in the living room on the couch looks like shot on another camera than sony fx 3. Or maybe ur adjustmens like ISO and such was incorrect - is that so?
Thanks for watching. The entire film was shot with the Sony FX3 at base iso using the s-cinetone picture profile.
Is this the quality of the camera without editing or the video includes the editing effect?
I’m sure Joseph would be able to speak more on this, but from what I understand there were edits like color correction.

Okay I cringed each time she opened the door, especially when she left it open and went out. I'm of the belief that if something's messing with the door, you never open it unless you actually see who's out there. Aside from the obvious "stranger danger", if a spirit messes with the door and you open it, it implies that you're inviting them in.

How is the FX3?
Amazing! But if I’m honest I’m returning it for the Sony A7 IV. The price & specs suit my needs
@@JosephSantaCruz I can understand that; looks like the A7 IV gives more variety and has H.265 as a codec option.
@@FearMechanism for sure! I shot 2 projects with the fx3 & didn’t use the extra features. I guess it depends on the filmmaker & their needs. I’m going to test out the bmpcc 6k the colors & quality I see coming from that camera are amazing
@@JosephSantaCruz BM pocket 6k is very nice, know a few people who have them and they swear by them. If I ever decide to upgrade my cameras I would go that route.
Or I can always just rent cameras as I need them because mine are still perfectly fine and do what they need to. ✌

I've binged watched a hell of a lot of these short horror films today and 99% of them follow the same pattern. 5-6 minutes of nothing and the very last scene some oogly boogly pops up 😶🌫😶 is there some unspoken template everyone just knows to follow??

i liked it . everything was well done except the dreaded muppet monster .lol .i just wonder why you didnt get an older woman to play the witch . or let the hood cover most of the face . instead . there are 3 things that kill a film . bad acting ,bad story . muppet monster . i laughed at the mask . any way good job
Lol you’re not wrong. We initially wanted to do make up and when that fell through it had to be a mask but yes the intention was to hide it as much as possible but things don’t always go as planned. Thanks for the feedback it’s greatly appreciated
