honestly love the idea of you taking turns telling stories in each episode, it gives you the time to dive into more detail and i think you're both really good storytellers as well as good listeners.

Threatening to take your own life if someone leaves is so immature. It’s not just relatable for middle schoolers tbh I had a grown man in his 30s (I’m 5 years younger) pull that same stunt. He said he was going to start over, that his life wasn’t worth it anymore if I leave. I still left and he did reach out but eventually faded (after scaring him with the police)
Protect yourself ladies!!! Use your tools and voice and never let anyone who does those things get away with it.

So good! The story was funny, sweet, outrageous, relatable, enraging, etc. Mia could have ended it with how this guy was insane and a piece of shit, but she made me feel compassionate and sad for him (he’s still a dickhead though)
Blair says what I'm thinking about Mia's story and it makes the nonsense not only tolerable, but entertaining.

Sadly, traumatic brain injuries especially during childhood can really mess people up. Just look at how many serial killers have suffered head trauma as children & how many football players end up snapping due to CTE from repeated concussions. Very sad 😢
Also, I’ve definitely experienced guys threatening un-aliving themselves and it took way too long to finally realize that it’s just straight up manipulation.
A guy definitely threatened me with unaliving himself in middle school for not answering his texts quickly 😭

There are stories of people with head injuries behaving differently after. It's not that a good part dies, more likely that the part of him able to control the less favorable parts was damaged.

I was part of the rejects group in school. My best friend and I started hanging out with this very nerdy guy and he was EXTREMELY suicidal. We would spend hours talking him down from it. Eventually we told his mom and he went to the teenage mental ward for a week. After that he seemed to be doing much better. A couple months passed And we started to like each other and started dating.
He was my first serious boyfriend. The suicide stuff came up a few times.
Really I don't know what I was thinking that whole relationship.

I have a best friend who happens to be a guy and we would never. We irritate the fuck out of each other. We actually met on tinder but realised nope not going to work so we kind of became best friends, I truly love him like a brother and not more and he feels the same. I do think it's rare for that to happen though

Yes my ex threatened to do that to himself if I broke up with him and I was in 12th grade, he tried to do it in-front of me multiple times and he ended up breaking up with me and he broke/threw away all of my stuff

The crazy rumour that Norman started about the hospital bed sounds like the plot in American Horror Story (Season 3: Coven)! The main character had a venomous V that would kill whoever she slept with and she wanted to get her revenge on this guy who SA-ed her classmate. So she sneaked into the hospital (where he was at) and did him.
And you mentioned that you guys would hang out and watch AHS together (before he went psycho).
My “best friend” freshmen year of HS would say she’s suicidal and that me and my other friend were the only things keeping her alive and all that dramatic shit lmao I didn’t realize how common that is for ppl to go through 🤦🏻♀️
As the friend in my group who used to do that... I feel so fucking bad for putting that on anyone else. I had no idea the effect of my words, but I meant what I said at the time, though it is possible that other people say that to manipulate their "friends". I just needed actual adults to step in and help. I hope you are doing well now and that "best friend" has found their way to healing. Love.
