North & South is so great, I absolutely lost it with the main couple but it’s also great because it’s a coming of age story for the main girl and has some nice social commentary/dynamics!

I'm obsessed with Period Dramas they're one the only genre my brain can actually focus on without being bored. And yes P&P 2005 my absolute fave too and a visual masterpiece even if it's not accurate to the book/the time period.
I used to be obsessed with Poldark but I never finished it because it wasn't available anymore, a shame, I was so invested in the doctor's storyline.

I STANDDDDD by North and South, all the Pride and Prejudices, Bridgerton and Belle(this one caught me by surpriseee, so good😮‍💨)
I watched Poldark all the way to season 4 and in the beginning I LOVED it - Ross and Demelza😮‍💨🤌🏾but the minute Ross cheated it made me MAD then Demelza cheated and as much as I wanted to continue loving them I lost the “swoon” for them cause I just can’t get behind cheaters.

I made my parents watch Sanditon with me last year, and they've been waiting for me to come back home so we can watch season 2. Sad Theo James isn't back though, even if he wasn't going to be the love interest anymore, I WANTED THAT TENSION.

My absolute favourite mini series Period Drama is Wives and Daughters. It's got such strong female characters and wonderful female relationships. And it's so sweet and romantic, and cosy. And there's a bit of intrigue as well. I will always adore it. 100% recommend. But fave film? Sense and Sensibility 1996.

I recently watched the film In Secret (2014) starring Elizabeth Olsen, Oscar Isaac, and Tom Felton. The first half of the film is definitely swoon-worthy and steamy, though be warned the second half does get quite sad. I highly recommend watching it, though.

Just watched Howards End (2018). It's only 1 season of 4 episodes. The plot is somewhat thin and the drama just wasn't quite there but, Matthew McFadyen (P&P 2005) and Haley Atwell are both excellent. Atwell's performance is strong and quite impressive. It had great potential, did feel a bit rushed, rehashed story elements. Beautifully filmed. Really needed a full season or second season to find its own legs.

My absolute favorite is Pride and Prejudice with Kiera Knightley. I have been obsessed with this version of Pride and Prejudice. So much so, that my son recognizes the movie the minute here here's the first few tunes of the opening scene play. My favorite moment is the minute Mr. Darcy notices Elizabeth at the first dance he shows up to. And the moment he declares his feelings and asks for her hand. But really, the ultimate moment I melted was when he was walking through the field as the sun is rising and he he tells Elizabeth that she has bewitched him heart and soul. And that he loves her and that he wishes to never part from her from that day on. Boy do I wish men now a days, spoke like that.

I was so sad when Sydney left but after I watched Claybourne and Mrs.Hayworth, Sanditon is one of my favorites!!! I enjoy it too because I personally don’t like very sex oriented scenes (especially with my kids). I really wish they would make more period dramas that are family friendly, very romantic, and happy endings!!!

I love Downton! My mom started watching The Gilded Age and told me to watch it as well, and I love it! Fun Fact: They are so much alike is because they're both created by the same man, Julian Fellows. I just love him, he creates fantastic characters. And seriously though, Sanditon isn't the same without Theo!

2007 Persuasion is tied with 2005 P&P for my favorite movie. You can feel how how in love Anne and Frederick are but they each are holding back and you can feel that ache they have toward each other and when they finally are ready to tell each other how they feel😍 my heart just swells.

One of the absolute most swoonworthy period dramas is Gentleman Jack and I'm needing everyone to watch it !!!!! The second season is finally airing after 3 years of waiting on BBC and HBO Max. you follow Anne Lister who's known "as the first known lesbian" because she wrote very detailed diaries in code that were found later and decoded where they found lots about her life and lots about her having romantic and sexual relationships with women. And in particular with one woman, Ann Walker. Their romance is just so incredibly beautiful and swoonworthy and empowering to watch these two brave women do everything for love against all prejudice and hatred especially in that time!! It's so well written, directed and acted by Suranne Jones and Sophie Rundle. It's romantic, dramatic and also really funny. It needs a lot more recognition and people watching it because we need a season 3 👏🏻👏🏻
