Do You ALWAYS Need Value Contrast in Your Painting?

- How do you create contrast in your painting WITHOUT VALUE? Sometimes, you may be painting a subject matter that doesn't have a lot of value contrast. Instead, I explore ways to create visual interest in your painting with hue, saturation, and color temperature variation.
This 4"x4" plein air painting was done at Zion National Park on the Riverside Walk Hike.
I am painting on Crescent cold press illustration Board. I am using a 1" brush and size 12 round brush. All paints are Winsor and Newton Designer Gouache.

What color you're using
