Canadian toaster here! The NHL was started in Canada in 1917 with the main 4 teams the Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Wanderers, Ottawa Senator’s, and the Quebec Bulldogs. It was in the 1920s that the league expanded into the United States starting the first American leagues for the NHL the Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Cougars, New York Rangers, and the Detroit Red Wings. The culture for hockey in Canada is similar to the culture of football in America. When I watch this playoff series for instance, my home game crowd in Edmonton is so loud compared to a home game crowd in Florida, it’s electric going to a playoff game in Canada. To be fair all of our best Canadian players usually end up playing in the states just because of more money and reach haha! Love ya girly swirly’s hope that helped 🇨🇦🫶

Hi swirlies! In reply to the dear toaster about the nanny! I’m a full time nanny and work with an agency so I have an contract with the family and in the contract there’s a section for personal hygiene that states
“Personal Health and Hygiene:
While with our kids, we ask that you maintain upon yourself good general hygiene. This includes but is not limited to washing your hands, bathing, wearing clean and appropriate attire, etc.”
So maybe make a contract if you don’t already have one and add that section in??

third dear toasters swirlie - i basically got the same feedback in my yearly review. it’s not a bad thing but just something to work on!
literally i just have shut the fck up in meetings since getting the feedback and i try to actively listen and speak when prompted. if it’s silent in a meeting after a question is posed, you can give it a beat before you chime in! sometimes you don’t need to talk a bunch to make an impact - it’s not always what you say but how you say it. things will get better, just stay positive 🙂
