I personally have put many hour running Catpillar D6R they are definitely a pleasure to operate, excellent for slopes grading, powerful, well balanced piece Equipment.
I love your natural enthusiasm for the Cat D6R and the other miniature engineering marvels that the man scratch built!
Personally, I'd love to see a miniature, functioning Cat 302.CR Mini Excavator with a miniature Engcon EC204 Tiltrotator!

if you listen to him he has no tv or internet , he is retired from the tractor salvage business, he is also of the Mennonite church but has a nice collection of stuff.

That dozer is highly impressive!
The pony motor - Large power house Steam Turbines need to have their magnets set to make power. So starting from scratch they have a gas tractor like engine that turns a small power plant (car size) generator by belt and electrifies the magnets so it generates power. That is used to turn up and already spinning turbine and it in turn starts the other turbines - they synchronize themselves and then the group are attached one at a time to the High power lines. They would add another if needed and keep the third for emergency. South Dallas Tx. Power Dallas power and light in the 70's.

Does anyone know of a small, good-quality, bulldozer manufactured in USA? I'm not looking for robotics or GPS machines; everything I have seen so far is twice as big as I want for building bike trails. I always buy new equipment.
