@@AquascapeOdyssey Thank you for posting. I enjoyed it very much.
What other plans can you put in your tank
It depends, are you looking for low maintenance beginner plants?
Hello I just started my first tank but the plants are not doing good, for how long do you recommend to leave the light on
When I first start a tank I tend to leave it on long to spread up the cycling of the tank. But after a week typically 8 hours only. What type of light did you get? I have an aquarium light video coming out next Monday. Iâll probably also make a beginner plant tip video soon too.
And congratulations on the new tank!
What about some anubias or Buce?
Epiphytes are always perfect, just didnât have the right amount of hardscape for them in this one.
@AquascapeOdyssey Understandable. Well, your final result is beautiful regardless đ
@@ellaaqua thank you!! đđ»
And also what plants do you recommend for a beginner?
When you first set up a tank your plants feed of nitrogen and phosphorus which comes from fish food and waste, but if nothing is in the tank you need to provide supplemental nutrient source. Not too much if you have a high intensity light. As your tank starts to balance, and cycle your plants will also grow, rooted plants will feed off your substrate then too, if you have plants like moss or Anubis / known as epiphytes those always pull nutrients from the water column.
Starting out I had amazing success from fast growing plants like rotala, Ludwiga, water sprite,Hygrophila Siamensis, Hygrophila Pinnatifida
@@AquascapeOdyssey I got ludwigia repens and super red mini but the leaves turned brown and started melting, I also used dragon stone for the hardcape and I only washed, I donât know if thereâs another step for cleaning it, I really donât know whatâs wrong
Thank you so much for your help, your videos are awesome and really helpful
Some plants experience melting when they are adjusting to their underwater state so donât stress it. You planted both directly into the substrate?
@@AquascapeOdysseyyes, they are on the substrate
