This scene is amazing in that it really shows how hard piloting a Yeager solo is, to date 3 people have managed it really successfully and here he only managed to lift the hand screaming the whole way.

They literally talk to eachother aloud like thier minds weren’t connected or anything so piloting a yeager alone wouldnt be so hard now right? Wrong all he did was scream and lift an arm up while raliegh literally kills a kaiju while missing a whole arm.

It really feels like watching a Kaiju fighting a Power Ranger. Originally, pilots are suppose to feel intense pain when their Jaegars are damage. When that tail stabbed through the con pod, you would think the two would be holding their head and screaming in pain. Take Raleigh in the first film as an example, when he lost Gipsy Danger's arm, he was screaming as he hold his arm.This film really makes their pilots look like they took massive amounts of drugs before the battle to dull the pain.
I suppose they must have updated the tech to transfer less pain, seeing that Raleigh and Mako didn't seem as painful when Gypsy Danger's arm was torn off by Raiju in the final battle.
Maybe they have a adrenaline rush like when we face life threatening things
The adrenaline will numb all of the pain only after a while then the pain will start to set in

If that happened to a regular human they'd die instantly but not a jaeger pilot they get to feel all this *EXCRUCIATING* pain there's no way in hell adrenaline is gonna stop that from hurting

1:39-1:44 Give him some credit. Stacker did it. Rally did it. And the very fact that they did it proves that a Jaeger can be operated by a single pilot, even if it is only for limited periods of time.

It has so much hate because it's nowhere near like the original.this movie makes jaegers feel like transformers/power rangers instead of brutal, huge, slow moving mechs. not to mention the casting is pretty bad (teenagers) and the acting is mediocre at best. Jaeger pilots are also supposed to feel immense pain when the jaeger gets damaged, you don't see that at all in this movie. This movie was just a cheap cash grab.

@@AirProGames99 it's hard to look past the bad things when there's too many flaws to begin with. This movie has so many flaws it's hard to just ignore them. If the action was on par with the original then yes the bad acting the bad writing probably would of been ignored to some extent but not entirely but that wouldn't even save the movie from being seen as inferior

In Pacific Rim 1 the pilots suffered dmg same as Jeager suffers in a battle. In this we can see a tail piercing through their head but they did not suffer any such dmg or the trauma.

Let’s face it. Gypsy Avenger is basically a Gyspy Danger knock of with an even suckier com pod design
I don’t think it’s supposed to be a knock off, more like honoring the original Gypsy danger, cuz in an interview they said that Raleigh becket actually died, and that’s why he wasn’t in the movie, Also this is ten years in the future, so technology advanced, so it won’t look as nice and detailed, but more fresh and new
Here is the diferent between danger and avenger. Avenger is lighter armor fast giant and add new weapon, but not durable and strong enough. Gipsy danger is way more stronger machine and more durable armour and function well even though gipsy danger lost his brother pilot, his michanical arm, leg and stab still he can fight and fully functional giant robot. Gipsy danger are very strong can carry heavier and bigger kijus. And the best thing why i like first pacific rim? Its because the 1st movie looks perfect in terms of realistic movie refference by physics weight of the machine and the movement looks accurate and real. And the sound inside of mechanical giant robot and nuclear reactor sounds are perfect. The second movie looks low budget meal power ranger. Forget it.

Happens here too! I mean, why the hell even give Jake a male copilot if they were just going to take him out in favor of Amara. It’s so stupid because if that HAD to happen, they should’ve just paired them from the beginning. 🙄
But…. An early article before this movie was released speculated that Nate maybe would pilot another Jaeger with Mako since Jake was seen with Amara. That would have been cool too actually but nope. Thanks writers.
(And yes, I am still sore about Yancy getting killed off within fifteen minutes during the last movie to give Raleigh a female copilot instead)
