- The Vancouver Canucks score 2 goals in 12 seconds to steal the leave from the pesky Nashville Predators!! Boeser to Hughes for the snipe and Garland with a beautiful feed after Lindholm freed the puck for a Joshua tap in! The arena went INSANE, here’s the goals and our reaction.

I yelled so loud at the TV after Jousha's goal and after we won the game I went to the corner of Knight and 41st Ave to wave my Canucks flag at the fans going home from the game it was great.
after the game walking out of rogers everyone yelling and celebrating with everyone else such an amazing experience. PLAYOFF HOCKEY IS BACK IN VANCOUVER BABY!!!!!!

But why is everyone waving towels?
Ever NHL game the fans have wave towels during the playoffs to give encouragement to the team it's called Towel Power.
The tradition goes back to the 1982 playoff run. The Canucks coach thought they were being treated unfairly by the refs so he lifted a towel up as a sign of surrender. It caught on and has been a mainstay at the Canucks playoff games ever since. As for the other teams? They are a bunch of bedwetters and can’t come up with an original idea.

In Game 2 of the Conference Finals, Canucks coach Roger Neilson got fed up with the refs, so he put a white towel on the end of a hockey stick and waved it like a white flag in mock surrender. He got ejected from the game for doing it. So at the next home game, the fans all waved white towels at the refs the entire game!
The Canucks won the next 3 games in a row and made it to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in franchise history that year. Towel Power has been a Vancouver tradition ever since. And a bunch of other NHL teams started waving towels during the playoffs after that, because they're all just copy cats with no good ideas of their own ;p
