Thank you so much for showing me how to do little capped sleeves! AND the burrito roll! I started off just planning flutter lace sleeves, then lace capped sleeves then I went the whole hog and lined them, did a burrito roll and hey presto - I’m delighted! I never thought I could have done this! Thank you, thank you!

The ease simply happens because the flat shape is going into a 3 dimensional shape. You can literally walk the sleeve around the armhole by connecting the shoulder seam on the pattern and placing the sleeve on top. You will notice that the sleeve actually fits in exactly.

Great video! I've watched it a few times, and it makes perfect sense now after performing a cap sleeve on my current project.
Can you not do a lining if you do the second sleeve method? I can't quite tell, are you not doing right side to right side for that one?
I like the detailing of the binding. Are there any embellishments one can do to a fully inserted sleeve?
What defines the "fully inserted" sleeve? Having it mated to the bodice and the bodice liner? Is there such a thing as a partially inserted sleeve?
Thanks for making these videos! You cover tips and nuances that most others gloss over, and you don't waste any time in doing it :)
