    Just imagine if it had a set of performance tires... this really looked like fun!

    Thanks for doing this! I had requested it earlier so I'm happy to see that you ended up doing it! I am curious if you had e Pedal on during the run. I believe it may make acceleration off the line slower, but not 100% sure. Also, it would be interesting to do another lap (either with this car or another that comes with stock eco tires) with a set of summer performance tires or just good all seasons as a comparison. Would be cool to know just how much tires make a difference.

    In Norway this car is what grandmothers would buy so this is really good !

    Cool to see my (not mine specifically) car get tested. If I ever track it, choice of tire is going to be an interesting one.

    These videos are always fun to watch.
    Thanks for sharing.
    Also I think this car really missed an opportunity to be an excellent hot hay h if nissan had really tried to do a true nismo variant

    Great video however it would be interesting to know how much percentage it had left as you mentioned it started with 71%

    The exterior shots remind me of the race replays in my Gran Turismo game.
    I wonder if the extra power fully overcame the extra 300 pounds as compared to the 40 kWh Leaf?

    If it had some performance tires I bet it would be fun!

    The Leaf is a nice car and has done a lot for the spread of electric vehicles, especially in Europe and Norway. Too bad it has CHAdeMO and no liquid cooling. I am very excited about the Ariya, especially after watching your video.

      Leaf still sells more in 2020 than the Model 3 in Norway. Its pretty interesting. Its still the only EV with an active aftermarket for battery upgrades. Its the value ev.

    • @modulonatic
      @modulonatic Před 3 lety

      @@douglasalanthompson Yes the aftermarket battery upgrades are fascinating. It is awesome to see that someone puts in the effort, especially the additional battery for the E-NV200.

      What is wrong with CHAdeMo and no liguiez cooling?

    • @douglasalanthompson
      @douglasalanthompson Před 3 lety

      @@doddsalfa not much of an issue unless you are in a hot vlimate and doing multiple (3+) DC charges during a day.

    • @modulonatic
      @modulonatic Před 3 lety

      @@doddsalfa CHadeMO is commonly limited to 50 kW (62.5 kW per standard) thus not even close to CCS that can achieve up to 350 kW. And a non liquid cooled (or actively air cooled) battery tends to overheat, therefore limiting the power output and reducing the charging speed. Checkout Bjorn Nyland and Nissan Leaf on CZcams for more information.

    I wonder if you could install a more powerful motor, if your not really concerned with range it wouldn’t need a larger battery. I’ve built many hotrods and range is never an issue in those.

  • @SuperHammerzeit
    @SuperHammerzeit Před rokem

    Leaf´s brakes are so unpredictable and it will do that regen unless you lightly press gas so need to be careful in fast corners. Also Chademo does not give 50 kw/h, its more like 42-44 kw per hour at best and when you battery is too full its more like 30 kw per hour

  • @kennygaming208

    You should really redo this video with nitto nto1 competition tires, it would be interesting to see how fast it really is, the eco tires aren't doing it any good

    You really need to do the same run with an S+. Its a half secomd faster off the line to 60 and more nimble. No Tesla, but nimble.
