But the BBC one was really good, at least the first 3 series, after that they started losing characters and replacing them with new ones and it got a bit shite and confused. Was still OK but not the great show it was when you waited all week for the next episode with your teeth gritted. Prior to that, last show I can think of that did the same was Buffy! Fancy calling your daughter "Buffy"! Do you *want* her to be a porn star or what?

Heh! People used to say "epic fail" 10 years ago! I think by that time it had spread from 4chan to real life. Fancy 4chan being the centre of all culture for a couple of years! Flipping 4chan! But now it's gone to shit. Populated by people who grew up reading it since they were kids and too young to get the irony, so they took everything literally. Also there's that condition you can have where you tend to take things literally. So ironic "50 Hitler Post" became "natsoc" and "alt-right". Daft kids took the joke seriously and tried to be actual Nazis! Then that spread, too! All from some young lads joking around making up memes about Hitler cos it was a cheap and easy way of pissing everybody off!
BTW it should be "statuses quo". People argue about that, but "quo" means "where", the full phrase is "status quo ante", "the status from before", so "quo" is a sort-of general purpose conjunctive. You wouldn't pluralise those.

@45182 No they didnt, lol. One of the vampire theories in Being Human, is that vampire's reflections can't be seen ONLY in mirrors. they said it once in an interview, because it would cost WAY too much money to delete his image from every reflective object in the show.

Ok, so 46 years old in 2011 = 1965 birth. So 16 in 1981. But all his references, well, Johnny Ball is OK, but Hale and Pace and half the others are all late-80s. Which is fine, he was in his 20s then, but if he picks up culture in his 20s, why has he stopped in his 30s and 40s? Why doesn't he know any modern things? I understand "it's a joke" but it doesn't make sense. If he, too, has the interests and mind of a teenager, he'd watch MTV or whatever and know about current things. Either way, if he's stuck mentally in the time he was 16, then his memories are all off by 10 years, or if he's present-day, his references are all off by 20 years. Sure you get out of touch with youth culture as you get older (thank god, cos it's garbage), but he's supposed to be stuck as eternally 16. Worse than Purgatory. Just... why's he so out of touch? What has he been DOING all that time? Also he's a bit of a twat, but yeah... that's the joke. And being a twat was sort-of a thing back in 2011 or so. Lots of deliberate or otherwise twats back then in pop culture. Dunno if that's changed much, haven't bothered watching telly in years. I used to think bragging about not watching TV was some sort of lame middle-class thing, but actually I just can't be arsed. It's utter rubbish, shite. So I just watch Simpsons downloads, a few films, and mess about on the Internet. But anyway Being Human was a great series back then, so thought I'd come watch this again. 240p resolution! Oh, 2011!
