Thank you, I have several Music Nomad products that are great just got the leveling sanding beam. Will be testing it out this weekend on a new project.
You’re welcome be sure to have a crowning too for the Frits 400 600 sandpaper and something to polish up the fats like fry polish 😎🎸🦯✌🏽💙🎼✈️🕊✝️👍🏽
Great job on the fret work and very interesting video. You mentioned at the end you used to work on airplane engines, my father was an airplane mechanic for Grumman many years ago and built the F-14. I’m looking forward to more of your videos.
Thank you very much. Yes I used to be an aviation technician for the T-56 engine overhaul and rebuild for the Air Force / US Coast Guard C-130 aircraft . That is why you’ll see the light behind me in the demo videos and the C-130 on the wall and on the blue 2x6 behind me 😎🎸🦯✌🏽🕊✈️✝️🎼🇺🇸🫡 that’s awesome that he was a part of building the F-14 would love to talk to him 👍🏽
@@holyrollerguitars , I did notice the C-130 and wanted to mention that in my comment but of course I forgot. It sounds like you had a great job. Yeah, my father loves to talk about airplanes and once he gets going he doesn’t stop.
@@bass-hiroshimanick2534 lol nice I would like to talk to somebody that knows about fighter jets and get to know that side. I was more of a cargo plane enthusiast for the Air Force and since I worked on the C-130, it also had a US Coast Guard line if you’d like you can email me and we can exchange numbers if your dad would like to talk. Holyrollerguitar@gmail.com if he’s up to it. I was one month away from working a decade in the aviation industry. 😎🎸🦯🌻🐈💙🩵❤🕊✈✝🎼
@@holyrollerguitars , I'll send you an email from my Google account. Unfortunately, I don't live in the states anymore so a phone call won't be possible. I've been in Japan 33 years and only get back home once a year. Hopefully I'll get back for Christmas again.
@@bass-hiroshimanick2534 nice ok I’ll keep an eye out for you’re msg.🎸🦯✌🏽💙✈️
If I could give you one suggestion, is to mark your frets again after you level. Then crown until you only have a little sliver of a line. Reason? Because with a fat top crown, your fretted note won’t be in tune with the scale of the neck. Great job for your first time!
Thank you so much for the advice. I greatly appreciate it and will take that into consideration on the next guitar. I’m new to Fred Levine, so this helps me a lot. 👍🏽 😎🎸🦯✌🏽💙🎼
Another awesome job. Your an inspiration to us all. I'm so glad I found your channel, so keep it going.
Thank you so much, Mr. Burnham. I greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your kind words and for continuing to comment like the videos and being a great friend.😎🎸🦯✌🏽💙🌻🐈🩵❤️🎼🕊✝️
Great job for the first time! I’m about to do the same as I just got the S file. Keep going 🙏🏻
Thank you Awesome Love it Have Fun 😎🎸🦯✌🏽💙🎼🤙🏽
You did a great job for your first time!👍Those deeper dents are what makes the leveling a bit more time consuming and takes more metal
off the frets making them lose height. But you have no choice except to accept losing fret height to get those dents out it is the only solution other than a partial or full refret . You have to just sacrifice the height of the frets. That guitar will probably still be able to be leveled and crowned one more time after this before it needs new frets. I need to do a few of my guitars as well but my health has been really bad lately keeping me from getting things done.
I’m sorry to hear about your health thank you for giving me some insight on front leveling and about the life of Frats and possibly how many times they can be leveled. I hope that one day you can get around to working on your guitars and you will be in our prayers, take care and have a great and blessed day 😎🎸🦯🌻🐈💙🩵❤️🕊✝️🎼👍🏽
@@holyrollerguitars Thank you🙏
Looks great !! God bless.
thank you GODBLESS 😎🎸🦯✌🏽💙🕊✝️🎼
That fret crowning file is too expensive in my opinion, especially with the reviews I seen saying it only lasts one guitar using stainless frets before it goes blunt and useless.
Thank you for you’re feedback I’ve used it for 2 full neck FRET LEVEL and a partial few fret re-crowning still working great for me 😎🎸🦯🌻🐈💙🩵❤️✌🏽🕊✝️🎼✈️👍🏽
@@holyrollerguitars Would that be stainless steel frets?
@@OldBiker not sure I’m thinking all three guitars were nickel, but not sure about the Sheker diamond series was trying to do some research but can’t find specifically what they use in the diamond series on the USA fritz but it would make sense to use an actual file on stainless steel fret compared to diamond coated Fret file 😎🎸🦯✌🏽💙🎼✈️👍🏽
I might be wrong but not sure if it was the magic of editing but you didn't look like you went far enough with the crowning file.
You are correct did not go far enough I should have marked the Frets and then crown them to make sure all of the marking was out keep an eye out for my next Level and Crown video in about two weeks on a white telecaster that one came out great 👍🏽 😎🎸🦯✌🏽💙✝️🕊🎼🫡🇺🇸
This file makes it simple file until it doesn't cut anymore just make sure it stays square. Can't wait for the next one.
