    Amazing what a wonderful post!
Okra is delicious even eaten raw. The faster you harvest the more it produces.
We cut at just about thumb size for maxim tenderness! I wish more people realized just how easy okra is to grow
and how good for you okra actually is. No need to go hungry when okra is around!
Freezes so well without blanching/a dozen plants will produce a harvest that will last a family the winter.
Here in the south the okra really kicks when the weather is hottest and so little water is required to keep the plants happy!
Okra is a member of the hibiscus family. The okra flower is beautiful and extremely disease resistant unlike many other garden variety. Whether it's Okra stew soup fried raw or pickled. Okra can't be beat!
Our Jalapeno pepper grew extra hot as the summer heat increased. Fact is so hot at this peak of the summer we are having to remove the seed before eating them! Nothing better than Jalapeno pepper with corn bread!
Will definitely try growing Kohlrabi looks like a small head of delicious cabbage!
btw at what depth do you recommend a raised garden bed to be?
    thanks 4 the tip!

Very much enjoyed the video. Veggies grown in your garden I was not familiar with. Wisconsin gardens are not year long. This year our gardens had 75- 90 degree heat & our gardens had a huge surge..but this is rare. April to August..and maybe during Indian Summer we have an extension. Love growing winter veggies in my green house & cold frame-----thank you

As kids, we used to suck off the red gooey coating around the seeds of the ripe bitter gourds. Its sweet to the taste. Then we would save the seeds for planting. But where can i get the strawberry guava and plu fruit trees to buy? I live in PA and don't know if they will grow well here. I' originally from the Caribbean and I've noticed you did not mention the sweet sugar cane plant. I saw in your garden tour. Hi I want to give you a west African okra stew.Ok now must have 2pds of fresh okra ,seafood mixed or any other or simply shrimps & crabs etc..., oxtail, onion, any canned fish like mackerel or tuna ,but the best fish for this is catfish fresh or smoked, hot peppers, bitter gourd ( optional) palm oi,tomato paste, paprika OYSTER SAUCE ,FISH SAUCE. OK NOW FIRST COOK STEW THE OXTAIL, when well cooked remove put on the side in the same sauce chop add the rest of the vegetables one tbp of the paste ,the spice use your taste tbp of oyster sauce and 2tsp of fish sauce except the gourd is separately boiled and will be added a the step.stir well and adjust water of sauce ,it must be slimy and pink red and consistant .Now stir to make steamed rice ,for African or west indies make fufu ,this dish is eaten with rice or naan bread or fufu . Ok once oil starts to spread and okra and seafood are almost cooked add back the oxtail add salt bouillon and let simmer .when the oil is well spread now last put cooked bitter gourd.10mns later all done .Serve and bon appetit.
