DELETING TASK FROM DASHBOARD Automatically =
For people wondering how to delete a task out of the list in case of completion:
Instead of doing it manually;
1. You add a checkbox-column "Done" to your tasks-table
2. Insert filter in Dashboard-table (= Show when "Done" is unchecked)
Optional: You can make another dashboard-table with the name "Completed" or "Done" where you collect all the completed tasks so you have an overview.
1. Create new linked table
2. Filter (= Show when "Done" is checked)
Hope this helps!
Thanks a lot (:
Came here from Kharma Medic.
BIG THANKS.
Best Notion tut I have seen. Made the whole concept of database and linked tables come alive. Thank you!!!
Awsome! Thanks for the super useful tutorial on both; creating tables with relations in Notion AND on establishing a working framework for the GTD model! Two of the things I really needed to familiarize myself with.
This is how tutorials should be. So amazing, so helpful. It was structured really well and the pacing was pitch perfect. Thanks a lot!
One of the best tutorials on Notion I've watched on CZcams. Looking forward to more!
This was a mini-master class. I learned so much. Every step was explained, and unlike many tutorials, it went at a pace I could follow.
Thank You So Much! Ever Since I setup Notion, I've been the most productive because all my tasks are sorted out and categorised. This tutorial has been amazing and every step were explained in the most simple manner. Good Job Khe and Keep It Up.
This is perfect! Thank you so much!!
I added a "Quick Tasks" section where it shows tasks that can be completed in 10 minutes or less.
I'm creating a dashboard that combines GTD with my schedule agenda. And I clapped my hands watching this video! Thank you!
THIS.IS.ABSOLUTELY.FANTASTIC.
This video was literal perfection-the pace at which he explained, the way he explained seemingly difficult things and the way he kept us hooked on until the very end. Thank you so much!
This video is very helpful in setting up relational databases in Notion, but it has relatively little to do with GTD.
To refresh one's memory (assuming you've read David Allen's book - if not, it is highly to be recommended):
The GTD approach is basically a workflow to guide workflows, which involves the following stages:
Stage 1: capture - this is crucial: there must be one place where everything that pops up to be done is collected and nothing more; just a place to capture it. In this, the video's Inbox is inadequate: what do you do, for example, with an e-mail task? It would be easy enough, one assumes, to include a link in the Inbox page, to a Notion note with a copy of e-mails (or websites, or whatever) -- the fact that that is missing is a critical lapse. The starting point should, therefore, be a note file with incoming tasks.
Stage 2: sort into discard / actionable / reading / someday-maybe (following the 2-minute rule: if you can do it in 2 minutes, do it in this stage); that's all you do: sort and clear out your inbox into these categories. This is a crucial step that is not very clearly reflected in the video.
Stage 3: go into the actionable tasks and sort into stand-alone tasks or projects (in both, by location of where it needs to be done). The video is better here (including tags for location), but it would help if there was a database simply for stand-alone tasks.
Stage 4: go through each project and designate a next-step task for that project, and move that to an active listing (by location), so that you focus entirely, not on the project as a whole, but on the next step that needs to be taken for each project. This could be set up in Notion, it appears, but the author didn't get this far.
Stage 5: schedule on calendar or by priority for each location of where the task needs to be done.
The Notion 'GTD' setup presented here, while it's quite clear and perhaps even useful, simply does not reflect the GTD stages. The crucial point about the GTD approach is that in each stage you focus on the simplest possible collection or sorting task to advance to the next stage without getting overwhelmed and without needing to carry to-do or what-am-I-not-doing things around in your head all of the time. Then when you start on a project task itself, you can be confident you are doing the right thing at the right time, and not missing something else you should be doing.
I liked this video because it introduced me to some important, fairly complex concepts for Notion. Great Video for that. Timothy, thanks for your feedback. I'd like to know what tools do you use? I have yet to find a tool that has most of the GTD requirements but TickTick, for me, comes close. I just can't seem to easily incorporate "Next actions" from projects automatically with it or maybe I've been under a rock.
your still struggling with this you could substitute the “projects table” for a table that will organise item into next action, discard, someday-maybe etc.
Have you found a solid GTD template for Notion? I want one that actually reflects the GTD principles..
For some day, just leave the date field blank. And for the 2 minute rule, you do it immediately if a task can fit in 2 mins, so you don't have to note it in the software.
This video is insanely amazing - THANK YOU! ALL OF THE LIGHTBULBS HAPPENING IN MY BRAIN RIGHT NOW OMG.
OMG, So good. Thank you so much. I'm in the middle of reading the GTD Book and I was searching for a Notion Video to get started. I love the way you walk me through things step by step. Some stuff has changed since then but I was easily able to understand what to do. THANK YOU from Germany
Amazing Video, love the clarity in explaining a very advanced GTD system in simple and clear manner. All the best to you both!!
this is the most clear and useful Notion tutorial of GTD management, thanks!
I concur !
Great tutorial! I followed it step by step and came out with what was advertised. Thank you!
Oh. My. God… this tool is amazing. I finally get it. It’s taken me ages but this one vid is 🤯. I can’t thank you enough.
I'm a beginner and this is the only tutorial I could easily understand from the ones I found. Thank you so much!

Kudos for the Video clip! Apologies for the intrusion, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you thought about - Sanailey Inconceivable System (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a smashing exclusive product for getting the success you deserve using this proven betting system without the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my mate got great success with it.
Thank you God Bless!
Great to learn what about a section complete where everything is there like in the video of

These Formulas are so handy!! I was thinking about how to make them but couldn't until I watched your video!! Many thanks!
Few and far between, do I actually comment on videos, but this my friend was done in an excellent fashion and was exactly what I was looking for.
this is literally life-changing
What a life changing dashboard. Thank you!
Absolutely fabulous video! Thanks a lot Khe! I learned about GTD methodology a short time ago but wasn’t sure what app I should be using to implement it. This video absolutely nailed it for me! Just going to download notion and can’t wait to get started !
Can you send me your template if you made it sucessfully

This was one very well done and informative video! Thank you so much!
Thank you *a tonne* !! I was desperately looking for this (automatic reminder of overdue check in) since August!
THANKS!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Hii Prof!
@@partheshsoni1905 👋🏻
Wonderful video. I've been wanting to try notion, but was intimidated. This makes it to much less scary. Thank you.
Absolutely brilliant !!! Have just started reading David Allen’s book this week after hearing him on a few podcasts and yesterday on only heard about Notion yesterday on another CZcams channel. I’ve followed along and set up my dashboard and tables. Thank you so much for clear, concise and easy to listen to instructions....excellent work.
Well. Definitely a great tutorial. Thank you, guys!
This is really helpful, customising tables and views gives great flexibility over other tasks lists. However, I feel it would have been better to add one of the key elements of GTD, which is “Next Action” view, May be adding a column to project list using a checkbox to show whether it is a Next Action, and creating a view showing tasks and context would help. Again, that is based on the demo you gave on how to create tables, views.
one of the best tutorials I came across. Thank you
Fantastic. That make my watch worth. A lot to learn but this video gave me zeal to learn more about notion.
thank you.
this has helped me set up a database of when i need to update my mandatory training
This was a freaking amazing tutorial and very helpful! thank you!
Francesco, I follow your work for years and I love your channel. But you know how GTD can set some expectations when we talk about it. GTD users are very passionated about it and there's a lot of people that are hard users.
David Allen never uses or recommends the use of name "tasks". The concept of next action is very different than tasks. He uses tasks in a sense of a pejorative things, like if you never has your lists clear about the meaning of the action itself.
Projects always has a verb describing the desired outcome. The use on this video shows projects almost like areas of focus, that it's a totally different horizon inside GTD, and has another concept and idea.
The video doesn't talk about the concept of calendar and incubated things - two very important categories on GTD dynamics for next actions and projects. Notion also can be great for reference and support files - not mentioned.
The video name title could be changed for Advanced Notion on GTD, but it's not even basic GTD.
Thank you for posting and let me know if I can help anyway.
Francesco, this isn’t GTD... by far.
Hahah I was going to write just that and I was like “oh, loved what this wise person is commenting, let me give her a shout out...” then I saw it was Thais!!!! Só a pessoa que eu leio/vejo quase todos os dias hahaha. Great stuff.
Also, that “Task”-Project link is also not a good practice, am I right? hahah 😛
Ahh Thais, I so want you to talk about Notion! 😍 I’m transferring my whole reference system there and I just love it! 🥰
Maybe be less of a pedant over words
Very well done good sir, be proud of this and thank you kindly for your assistance
As a first timer, I thought I was incapable of following up with the video, but I finally finished it :') Thank you so much... it's all thanks to your explanation. :) Can't wait to use it everyday🌻🌻
Glad it helped! Our pleasure.
Great instructional video. Looking forward to see what else you’ve got. Thanks
Oh, and I also linked some of the projects on my Projects Table to the already existing pages where those projects happen. For example, one of my projects is "Study Group on PhPsy" and I already had a database for that with all of my notes, etc. So The name of the project is actually a link to that database. Recommend! Again, thank you so much!
This is what I was looking for. Superb video
Oh my God this is AMAZINGGGGG. Thank you so much for sharing!
I’ve been wanting more examples on tables and databases, so thanks for this.
Yes, the illustration of linking tables was much clearer than most!
Thank you !! Very good and helpful. All the best.
Thank you very much for this video! Learnt a lot and helped me so much!
this is the best video for setting up notion thanks a lot
This is amazing. Hoepfully my work life will be organized better now. :)
Finally I am able to understand Notion and its strength. Thanks for sharing Khe tutorial. I have just one question, is it possible to include this system inside PARA system using Notion?
He did an awesome job! ⚡️
Great video, thanks! Question: if we want to add a Goals section linked to the projects table, should we add a new table "Goals" then link it to the Projects table or rather add a new column "goals" in the already existing Project table? thanks!
Newbie here and this tutorial is great! 😊
Absolutely Amazing, Thank you!!!
This was a great help. I used this to set up my GTD system after a few false starts from previous attempts.
I now understand it enough to make adjustment to my needs.b
This was awesome!!! Thanks for the tutorial!

It's amazing, the power of notion
This is absolutely incredible
Great video! What do I do with the original task table/project table?? If I don't want to view them any more, since I now would have the different customized tables (inbox, due soon, etc)??? Would really appreciate an answer...
Is there a way to add a calendar to see all the tasks? This is a great video, thanks!
Thank you for this tips,
شكرا لك على هذه النصائح
10/10 this changed my life
Wow! It was really cool!
Best notion GTD video 👏👏👏
Is there a way to change the frequency of the reviews? So if I want my review frequency to double each time I reviewed, e.g.: 5 days, 10 days, 20 days, 40 days and so on? Since this is the way spaced repitition works, it would be very useful
This is great, thank you!!!
This has helped me so much thank you a lot!
this. is. gold!
thanks for sharing!
Thank you! Really helpful tutorial!
Thank you for sharing this. Dude.
Amazing video! Thank you so much!
