jack wighton's covered centre and 6 his whole career and done just fine.
Hammer's gone from centre to fullback and back, all year and still performed well.
during QLD"s dynasty, they put a halfback (thurston) at five eighth. not because he is a five eighth but because he was too good to leave out entirely, and so was cronk.

There's a reason that clean sweeps are rare, which is that the series-winning side never turns up in game 3, no matter how much they say they will, and no matter how much the media try to build it up. Qld tonight played exactly like what they were - a team with nothing riding on the game. Have a look at DCE laughing as he shook hands with the NSW players after the bell. In the first two games, every NSW player that touched the ball was swarmed over. Tonight, Qld sat back and waited for them to reach the advantage line. This meant that NSW had all the space in the world., which they wouldn't have gotten in a million years if the series was on the line. This movie has been played out so many times. The morons in the media will now say that NSW would have won if they'd picked the right players, and NSW will yet again start hot favourites next year and get hammered when the games mean something.

Yeah, cody always plays well when there's no pressure on. Before tonight he'd won 1 out of 4 origins, being beaten every time he's been away from home. tonight was a dead runner at home. Anyone could have looked good tonight against a Qld team that had mentally clocked off.
Must always pick a fit team in form when playing Qland. No wounded warriors. That's how we won tonight. Well done Brad and the team. Bring on 2024.

So many people doubted Bradman without even knowing what they were on about, people saying Staggs, when he outperforms staggs on every stat
Bradman had a great debut that QLD right side was owned by Walker, Best and Addo-carr.
Bradman smoked Coates and that was something I never thought I'd see, they tried the second rower charge play but since Bradman is a unit it never worked once. If only Freddy knew what he was doing in game 1

Cody walker should have been picked since the first game. He was on fire.
Before tonight Cody had won 1 out of 4 Origin games, and that was at home also. There's a big difference between playing at Suncorp when the series is on the line, than playing at home in a match where the other side doesn't care. When cody has played away from Sydney he's never won once.

Halves and outside backs played awesome but I feel Jake and RCG made a big difference
Blues won because they chose a tougher team than the first two games. Origin has always been about toughness and sorry but nsw selections this year were horrendous. Good players selected, but not tough players. Barnett and JDB should be in that team all day long. Yeow is very good but he’s only in there cos they think a ball playing lock is better than a tough lock. Murray is a start all day long. Paulo and Haas need to play angry to be effective at Origin level otherwise they’re just as effective as Yeow. There’s a couple more too but comment far too long

Had noting to do with tough players. NSW won because Qld only went through the motions. It happens every time there's a 2-0 lead in the final game. And Yeoh was great tonight, but to be fair, him, Tedesco, Fox, Murray To'o and Crighton all had their best game of the series. Because they were at home, playing against a team that had already done the job and had switched off.

Yep, no surprise cody did ok, it was his perfect conditions. Home crowd, lopsided penalty count to NSW, series already over, and NSW finally having their best forwards available. Games that mean something, like GFs or Prelims or live Origin games? Cody is not so good then. Cody committed six glaring blunders tonight that the fawning media will ignore. They didn't matter at all tonight, but if it had been in a real game, the mistakes would have been punished.

@@jds428 cody played amazing? His first touch NSW ran a play they'd done in game 1, where Luai put martin into a gap and scored. In his game, Cody missed the fact that Martin was wide open, put a kick through and turned over possession. Two sets later ay he passed too hard for Martin. On anther play he passed too hard for Best, and on yet another he passed too hard for Fox. On other play he ran on the 6th and turned it over with a selfish play. And then in another play he threw the ball a meter above everyone's head into touch. Walker turned over the ball with six errors, but the media love-fest went "Walker hasn't made a mistake all night." Lol, the Wests halves could have won this game against a Qld side that didn't care one way or the other. If Walker had made those same errors up at Suncorp NSW would have lost by 50.

Urgency from both teams in 2nd half was awesome. Blues just came ontop with points advantage at the break. Maroons still the better side in overall series.

Too often for the club games all they show is tries (often with multiple replays).
This is much better - get a feel for the game as a whole, see tries, no tries and close calls.
Hope Freddy, or whoever the next coach is in 2024, remembers who was in this NSW team for Game III. This is how I remember NSW used to play!!!

Blues, this should have been the team. They were so relaxed and played to their strength. Best was the best. But I think Walker controlled the game better
how should it have been the team? for one thing, best is unseating burton, one of the incumbent centres who did nothing to deserve being dropped. he was pretty great last year. he also was selected only because latrell, wighton, graham and turbo were unavailable. how in the world is he getting a rep jersey next year if latrell and graham are ready to go?

There was a incident where the Referee said it was a knock On but it was a players head that punch the ball out which was at a crucial time and I think Queensland ruin more attempts to score than NSW but it keeps Freddy in a Coaching Job as I think Queensland will be even better next year with their star fullback and better off for the experience.
NSW got lucky and so did Freddy but who cares as the Series was over anyway.
Starting to get boring again SOO so I think we need New Zealand and Fuji Islanders as a real entertainer with the Girls on Friday and Men’s on the Saturday with some decent ENTERTAINMENT.

and if every available nsw player was completely uninjured and ready to go, only 4 of them are sure things (cleary, yeo, martin and to'o). the rest either wouldnt be there, or are big question marks.
