Scotland History Tours is here for people who want to learn about Scottish history and get ideas for Scottish history tours. I try to make videos which tell you tales from Scotland's past and give you information about key dates in Scottish history and historical places to visit in Scotland. Not all videos are tales from Scotland's history, some of them are about men from Scotland's past or women from Scotland's past. Basically the people who made Scotland. From April 2020 onward I've tried to give ideas for historic days out in Scotland. Essentially these are days out in Scotland for adults who are interested in historical places to visit in Scotland.
As one of Scotland history tour guides people ask: Help me plan a Scottish holiday, or help me plan a Scottish vacation of your from the US. So from April 2020 I've tried to give a bit of history, but some places of interest in Scotland as well.

thanks for this Bruce. I live 10 minutes walk to the Bonnymuir memorial and a friend of mine, who died a couple of years ago, kept the site in best order with some other locals. It will always be looked after and the lesson is sadly one of that constant theme of british betrayal and persecution of the Scots.

Imagine that workers going on strike for democracy. This event needs to be better known thanks Bruce. Workers beheaded for demanding rights. It in many ways was a spark that spread, and feed, a movementl for representative government though the British Empire. Another Scottish first.

Damn the cobblestones! I keep rewinding so I can hear you over the road noise. But the effort was worth it. Thank you so much for both the information and embedded humor. I appreciate your 'humorization' and humanization of historical events. Thanks again.

Personal comment of Laura Botten: Had to bite my tongue today when someone referred to the "Ireland and England United Kingdom". It just wasn't the appropriate time on a phone call for a history lesson...

Great content, but the recording is tough. Is there a way to reduce the background noise, especially on a cobbled street?
