It's called laming because you're hindering your opponent to make it more difficult for them to progress. It's based on the non-slang definition of Lame, which is "unable to walk without difficulty as the result of an injury or illness affecting the leg or foot."
It feels like this has to be re-explained every 6 months for each new batch of viewers, I'm sure I've typed this comment out on at least 2 other videos but I'm glad you did it for me this time lol

Ngl I'm disappointed when i hear you say "shen-axe-ie" as opposed to the proper pronunciation "shen-eye-shee-ye" or even an attempt at proper pronunciation. The game has a huge international community and the Chinese community is very large. The English speaking and Chinese speaking communities are generally very separate and it feels as if there is no attempt being made to make a bridge, which would benefit the game so much.
I felt the same way with the "shawarma riders", it feels like some parts of the English AoE2 community take pride in being ignorant. I didn't say anything before but I'm saying it now.
I think that's a tough choice to make, if he pronounces it english it may come across as lazy or ignorant, but if he tries to pronounce it in another accent it can become kind of racist or pretentious.. I think it's fine to pronounce things in the way of your own language, people have done that forever and it was never a big problem, it's not like asians pronounce english words with a US accent either
