I am a 78 year old woman who discovered Pavarotti and Bocelli 2 years ago during the COVID mess. They completely changed my world and I listen to them every day. They soothe my soul. Better late than never. Opera will take over because it leads you to real and beautiful music. The look on your face says it all. 🎵🎶🎶🎶

Andrea Bocelli is blind and one of the world's greatest opera singers. Sarah Brightman was in a dance group, then a pop band. She then married Andrew Lloyd Webber and was the first 'Christine' in his musical 'Phantom of the Opera' alongside Michael Crawford as the 'Phantom'.

I loved this masterpiece so much when it came out that I made it a point to learn it, which was a longer process than even, say, Tales from Topographic Oceans, which at least was a form of what I like to call High English, since they were high when they wrote it. To achieve it, I printed it out in ~50 pt. type...then later re-wrote it phonetically, since the Italian was tres etrange pour moi. I then sang it out whilst driving and listening to the cassette. The song was the #1 hit worldwide for months and months. A phenom. And played on PBS often, to raise money. Lastly, the reference to saying goodbye was not to each other. They are saying goodbye to us, and going on their way together...which is why they joined hands and voices at the end.

Found your channel a couple of days ago. At 75 I am a little younger than Marriyn (last comment). This duet, with Sarah and Andrea never fails to send chills up and down my spine. I am a big fan of both. We first saw Sarah as she was playing the lead character in the Broadway Musical "Phantom of the Opera." We didn't attend in NY, but in LA; she was in both casts. You must check out more of her songs as she had an active career on Broadway as well as internationally (she is British). Andrea Bocelli is Italian and blind. What a pair of talents! You have me as a fan for this type of music as well as Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and other greats of older country music. Loved your reaction to "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly by the Danish National Orchesta as well.

Luciano Pavarotti helped Andrea Bocelli get started - From Wikipedia - "In 1992, Italian rock star Zucchero held auditions for tenors to make a demo tape of his song "Miserere", to send to Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti. After hearing Bocelli on tape, Pavarotti urged Zucchero to use Bocelli instead of him. Pavarotti eventually persuaded Zucchero to record the song with Bocelli, and it became a hit throughout Europe. In Zucchero's European concert tour in 1993, Bocelli accompanied him to sing the duet, and he was also given solo sets in the concerts, singing "Nessun dorma" from Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot.[27] Bocelli signed with the Sugar Music label in Milan after Caterina Caselli heard him sing "Miserere" and "Nessun Dorma" at a birthday party for Zucchero." "Miserere" is a wonderful song to react to. React to Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion's "The Prayer".

This song is from the British operetta 'Phantom of the Opera' written by Andrew Lloyd Weber from England. Phantom has traveled around the world's theaters and is immensely appreciated by the whole world. But, this is only one of the songs from Phantom. If you get an opportunity, you could choose any of the songs to review. All the songs are heart-touchingly beautiful. I received this original album from my daughter, who brought it back from London.. The first time I sat down to listen to the LP on my stereo I was absolutely mesmerized by the entire album. I hope you get a chance to experience the whole of it. BTW - I'm 76 years old and also enjoy your vids!
