📅🆓NEET Rank & College Predictor 2024: infinitylearn.com/neet-rank-p... A city can be termed perfectly planned only when it has all the essentials present in it. One of the most important requirements in the list is "Power House" for uninterrupted Power Supply. Ever wondered what supplies power to the organelles and the complete cell to perform all the functions so well? Watch this video to get introduced to the "Powerhouse" of the Cell.
In this video, we will learn:
0:00 Introduction
0:47 mitochondria - powerhouse of the cell
1:12 usable energy molecules - Adenosine triphosphate (ATP)

They can quickly change shape and move around the cell when needed.
When the cell needs more energy, the mitochondria can reproduce by growing larger and then dividing. If the cell needs less energy, some mitochondria will die or become inactive.

@Seth Kareem but what is the link that u commented this here. Is this topic related to this bhaiya
what is happen if Mitochondria die?
_Robloxian Highschool - Science class whiteboard, saying "The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell". Thank you for reading. I hope you have a great day or night._
If it is it’s not
I don't think it is, They're actually saying it

Mitochondria is the power house of the cell. It is the powerhouse of the cell because it produces molecules which are useable forms of energy. The energy in food is not in a form that can be used so the enzymes in the mitochondria convert these molecules into useable molecules called Adenosine Triphosphate it is abbreviated as ATP.
The mitochondria has two membranes the outer membrane and the inner membrane.
The outer membrane is porous which means it allows the transport of materials across itself.
The inner membrane is thrown into several folds and therefore has a larger surface area. These folds are referred to as crisTAE. A larger surface area would be a wider base for ATP generating chemical reactions. The larger area will harbour more enzymes that will produce ATP. The inner part of this membrane has a matrix which contains all the necessary enzymes for ATP production. Thus larger the surface area larger will be the amount of ATP molecules generated.
Apart from this mitochondria has it's own DNA and ribosomes like the nucleus. Therefore mitochondria can make proteins and replicate on its own. This means it makes it's own copies independently.
(TAE...Armyyyyyyyy)
By the way thanks a lot for this summary/there points...

Me: How do i pay taxes?

This will help me for my entire life
this is a trurth, if school thaught u how to play taxeses, u won't give attention on your lecture
@Vandana Gupta 😂😂😂
@@lisa7582 english please
Actually badass. Replicates itself in spite of the nucleus, beats and breaks down food energy to force it into working for the cell, basically running the cell like a mob ring
Some interesting information about Mitochondria:
Mitochondria, often referred to as the “powerhouses of the cell”, were first discovered in 1857 by physiologist Albert von Kolliker, and later coined “bioblasts” (life germs) by Richard Altman in 1886. The organelles were then renamed “mitochondria” by Carl Benda twelve years later.
bioblast sounds like a better name tbh
Did you know only 0.0001% use this piece of knowledge in their work.
yes , the memes
Exactly
@Vandana Gupta But It is not at all helpful for students who don't choose microbiology as their career
Did you know school is not only about learning things which will be useful for your future job?

Thank you, I think we can or shall make sure mitochondriam are uniformly distributed across the cell, with equal energy and proximity to nucleus..unequal distribution can or shall be injurious to cell health and can or shall be prevented at any cost..
Your lectures are nice. Very informative btw which editing & voiceover app do you use ? I have a youtube channel so please help by telling.

Such a good video.... 😊
Would it be possible to modify the mitochondira to accept electrons from a metal wire instead of using NADH ? This way all cell could be powered without nutrients but with pure electricity. Is there any research on that ? :) Just curious.
No because the high voltage could fry the fragile surface of the cell, erotically possible put in reality it is not
Thank you! 🙂

Chemical energy produced by the is stored in a small molecuke called adenosine triposphate.
Mitochondria is the power house of the cell. It converts the energy molecules which we get from food to usable energy molecules. These usable energy molecules are known as ATP😊
