As you know I travel a lot, so I want to start a new section on my channel about travelling. Today I'll tell you about one of my favourite Ukrainian cities - Lviv. I'll tell you about the center of the city - Old City with the Square Rynok in it. There is a good selection of churches, cathedrals, restaurants and museums surrounding it. You can easily spend all day remaining within a few meters of the square.
Hope you'll know more about Ukraine and will like it as much as I do it.

Sofia, you're expanding your horizons, which is wonderful. You showed us around Lviv and pointed out many of their fine attractions. Unfortunately, you didn't tell us about the trains that were behind you in the beginning. I also loved that you were yourself and not trying to act pompous. Every outfit you wore was in good taste and looked marvelous on you. Take good care of yourself during this pandemic, but most of all...KEEP SMILING!!!

LEMBERG is beautiful in any season of the year. All Polish kings called Lviv (or Lwów in Polish) the "pearl of Poland" admiting this city to be most beautiful in Rzecz Pospolita. BTW, Lemberg was the name of the city not only in Austrian empire (1792-1919). After the burn in 14 century the wood fortress (built at the times of Galitia kingdom of Kievan Rus) was destroyed. So,when the city was captured by Poland in 1388, Polish kings built it for a long time and invited new colonists. So German colonists were one of the first inhabitants of "new rebuilt Lwów" and they called it Lemberg since 14 century. As well as the other large city of Galitia - Prszemysl (or Peremyshl in Ukrainian) was called as Prömsel in German. Lviv (or Lwów in Polish or Leopolis in Latin) means the "city of Lion" because it was founded by king Daniel I of Galitia and Volhynia (from Rurikid Varangian dynasty of Kievan Rus) and named in honesty of his son Lev (Lev is translated as "Lion" from all Slavic languages). So you can see the monuments and statues of lions on every step in Lviv. And a lion is on the coat of arms of the city. And people in Ukraine still call this city "misto Leva" (the city of Lev (Lion))...

Sofia.....I've been watching your videos since discovering your yodeling talent online. In addition to singing, you could have a great career in TV. You have such a great screen presence. Lviv is not just a beautiful city but what I really like also is that all I saw were people just walking the streets without automobiles running up and down the streets like a bunch of goofy drivers like over here in America. We can't even go to a town with a population of 100 people and there are cars and trucks running all over the streets. That was really enjoyable. Thank you for the tour.
