I haven’t seen anyone say anything on this but breezepelt’s and antpelt’s tears color’s are the colors of each other’s eyes, like breezepelt’s tears has the color of Antpelt’s eyes and vice versa, also I loved the video and especially the designs

Why is anybody talking about the dark Forest cat's eyes? It's intresting because they loose they pupils meaning that they died
It'll always be interesting how Breezepelt was so upset about Antpelt's death, despite not really caring for the safety of other Windclan or Dark forest cats. I wish their relationship was fleshed out a bit more in some way.
This makes me actually care about Antpelt who previously I didn’t really care much for before? Like holy hell he didn’t deserve all that. He’s killed and then not even given the chance to have an afterlife because his soul is killed again almost immediately after and he didn’t even do anything wrong skfkekfkfk
He is actually evil though. Like, he tells Ivypool in the Dark Forest that he is glad he's a Dark Forest Spirit and even Breezepelt seems to be annoyed from how privileged he is acting. When he is killed he is also attempting to kill Ivypool. There are many times before he is killed by Thistleclaw that he shows remorse and compassion but afterwords he is worse than Breezepelt and its stated in his and Ivypool's fight that he must've been training every moment after his death. He's an evil boy.

@@rosettaadderley3794 Antpelt was just as evil as Breezepelt. The difference between them is Breezepelt is being manipulated where if Antpelt ever was we have no narrative as evidence. The way the story is told through Ivypool's perspective of his actions in the dark forest it's more likely he is training for power or for personal gain. This is similar to Tigerstar, Hawkfrost, Thistleclaw, ect. Antpelt was always evil.
@@madisonlange8053 actually, ive heard before that a lot of people think that being sent to the dark forest inherently starts corrupting you, since its such an evil and cruel place. And thats not even mentioning that Antpelt didnt even get a chance to go to starclan when he died. Im pretty sure he genuinely was just there for the training, like almost everyone else there, and im sure when those cats die then they'll go to starclan. Starclan said f you to antpelt specifically
@@msbellebelle idk. Antpelts behavior is different from Birchfall and Ivypool for example. They were there for training and didn't go psycho mode. Also we see Snowtuft and other cats in the most recent arc decide to help the clans save the dark forest. Some chose to fight until the end. Crookedstar is another good example of how being in the dark forest for a prolonged time doesn't make you rotten, your character does.

Well theyre black dahlia, the colors of flowers are reverse for the characters, so the colors have meaning just not correlated to the flowers themselves.

The slight movement of the flowers during the chorus is such a nice touch to this already dazzling piece. In the first chorus, the flowers are wilting to symbolize the two’s furthering estrangement from WindClan and their innocence as a whole thanks to the Dark Forest’s training. But then the second chorus comes about and their are different flowers. This time they are growing as a direct opposite of the last flowers, meaning the two are finally realizing that the Dark Forest doesn’t have their motive at heart and are using them for their own devilish schemes. It could also mean Antpelt and Breezepelt have new ideas blooming. I could be wrong about what the flowers symbolize. They could also represent the relationship the two share but I’m not going to get too deep into anything else.

dang i already commented but i was thinking was antpelt and breezepelt's sharing of the same suffix purposeful? in the past cats sharing a suffix meant they were meaningful to each other/very close (like snowfur and bluefur). it probably was just an oversight but its really cute to think about it that way ;w;
Hey that's a cool head cannon! It could also illustrate a strong parallel between Ant and Breeze and how they chose to go about their allegiance to the Dark forest. Like Antpelt is a dark mirror showing what could have happened to Breeze pelt if he was even more willing to betray his clanmates, which is really sad and spooky!
@@pantherbeastly3934 yeah i totally agree! i also kinda think that antpelt was only really training in the dark forest because breezepelt was, he seemed like a follower more than a cat with his own convictions. i think breeze then felt really guilty over antpelt's death, maybe blaming himself. just a headcannon/inference but the angst TvT
@@pyrook4074 Yeah that's a good point! I really wish that the Erins focused on their relationship more or that we had a Breezepelt centered book where we got more insight on how he felt about his place in the clan and any remorse he felt for betraying his clan and Antpelt!
@@pantherbeastly3934 honestly yeah, he was the perfect option for a novella IMO. his perspective could've offered a great deal, especially during the time between OOTS and AVOS. it would also help explain his random personality change from a murderous revenge filled at in OOTS to him being sympathetic and remorseful in crowfeather's trial, which seemed way too sudden and rushed which is sad bc it could've been interesting.
@@pyrook4074 Yeah I think they should have either completely skipped or delayed Crowfeather's trial and put the work into better developing a new character. I thought Crowfeather's Trial was ok, but I was super frustrated on the lack of attention towards Breezepelt, who was an extremely important character to focus on, with Crowfeather being second really.
gods, everything about this is amazing. I love how antpelt seems to have joined the dark forest to support breezepelt. he’s genuinely hesitant and afraid, and yet he continues on for breezepelt, and that brought his downfall. breezepelt seems so genuinely upset both times antpelt dies, it just gets to me. how antpelt and ivypool both look so hesitant and afraid, they both know that only one can survive and they have to fight each other. how antpelt looks so tired after he dies. how he seems to be putting on a mask, not letting anyone see how scared and hesitant and unwilling he is about the whole thing, from joining the dark forest to fighting ivypool. how he forces himself to do stuff he doesn’t want to do for the sake of others. he’s such an interesting character, and I wish he had gotten more spotlight in the books. i love how you portrayed antpelt as the only one breezepelt trusted with his emotions, and how they genuinely considered themselves friends

This made me really appreciate Antpelt after going back and reviewing his story, it almost feels like he was trying to convince himself as much as Ivypool that he wanted to be a dark forest cat after his initial death. It's interesting to think that maybe things could have been different... I also adore your designs and the introspective nature of this work, the colors and flowers add so much!!

THIS IS SO COOL I love the pastel colors with such a dark story and the character designs really pop (my personal fav is Ivypool the yellow and blue work so well especially with the eyes!) I also love the use of the reoccurring shot types it really pushes the contrast

i always thought antpelt ending up in the dark forest was unfair. I know it makes sense because he trained in there, but he was always caring and you could tell he wasn't a bad guy. I felt like he should've went to star clan, if good hearted characters, which i think antpelt was when alive, go to the dark forest put of wrong or misleading life choices, where's the fairness in that? Maybe StarClan didn't have a choice? i don't know, but if they did, i felt like it wasn't right.
